My Rescues https://roleplaysrus.webs.com/apps/photos/ My Rescues Bunny (yes, thats her name.) This is our latest rescue. She fell down the window well (which is now covered) and split her upper and lower lips either during the fall or when we were trying to catch her in the well. She was bleeding really badly so we cleaned up her mouth using a newborn kitten syringe, put her in a cat carrier, and kept a close eye on her. When we noticed she was able to eat and walk/hop around the carrier without limping, we released her back into the wild. Once we disassembled the carrier outside to let her go, she ran as fast as a jack rabbit to get away. Shortly after we released her, she was back in the yard under the propane tank. We think she is one of the babies that was born under the propane tank. We've seen her around the yard a lot, hanging out with the other bunny, Bugs. https://roleplaysrus.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=162245467 162245467 Cricket This is a Horned Lizard I found outside, on the driveway. I named him Cricket. He had alot of blood all over his stomach and where his eye was, so I had to catch him to keep an eye on him. Turns out these guys can squirt blood out of there eyes as far as 5 feet! As soon as I let him go he darted under a bush and you could hardly see him! As of August 7, he is alive and really happy. And yes, I saw him on the driveway again after about 5 days. I let him go again next to the barn, which is pretty far out. Lets see how long it takes this time! https://roleplaysrus.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=162245468 162245468 Sally (or her real name, Two-Face.) Ok, so we didn't rescue Sally at this house, it was at the other one. Anyway, we saw her on the side of the road under a truck. My mom and I decided that she was to young to be an outdoor cat, and way to friendly so we took her in. We were on our way to pick up the daycare kid from school, so we couldn't turn back. We took her with us and I fed her yogurt. She was SOOOOO hungry! We found her owner and it turns out that Sally escaped. They were so worried because the Coyotes always hang out in their yard. Luckily Sally is back home! https://roleplaysrus.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=162245469 162245469 Chance This is a cat that had somehow gotten into our house. We think she came in when he door was open one day, and she had been hiding between the wall and the fernice (where she is now) for at least 2 days with no food. Luckily, she could get water from the dog's bowl when they were outside. She looked like she is about 6 months. Sorry for the crooked pic, y'all. https://roleplaysrus.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=164789524 164789524
