Nearly 20 Strigoi were all standing in a large room; the leaders of the largest groups. Their attention on one person and one person only. The Strigoi King. He had been the one to speak. His loud voice came again. "There is a threat to Strigoi everywhere; the Moroi Girl Mia Rinaldi and the human man that travels with her-" A female Strigoi stepped forward, cutting off the king. "With all due respect. The man is not human. I have fought with them personally. He is not of anything we have ever experienced." Another female Strigoi stepped forward from beside the thrown the King was sitting on. "What are you saying, Mila?" Mila looked nervous. She knew if she angered the king or his daughter, it would be her head. "What I am saying, princess, is that he is not a human, Moroi, or Dhampir." The King spoke up, "Silence! I don't care if the man is from outer space. These two are a threat. They must be taken out. Strigoi are the strongest and the best, are they not? We can destroy them." The Princess, Belle, spoke up again. "I know the best way to do that. What do teenage girls like most of all?" there were random shouts, all wrong for this century girls. "No. Boys. Send a Spirit using Moroi to compel her to come here. He could get inside her head. And when she comes, the man will be sure to follow." her red ringed brown eyes flickered around the room, looking at every face. They came to rest on her father. "And I know the perfect one to send. He is, a pet, if you will, of mine." The King smiled, "You are as brilliant as your mother was. We will send your pet to retrieve them." he looked at the crowd, "I want eyes on them at all times.
