"Well, I think so... you didn't really give me enough time to respond." She laughed, giving his hand a gentle squeeze in return. Eloise leaned against the wall beside him, looking out towards the water again.

Ashton laughed a little and sighed, rubbing the top of her hand lightly with his thumb and biting his lip again. "Cut me some slack, I'm new to this stuff...I reckon you'll have to teach me." he said jokingly, winking at her.

"Maybe. That would give us something to do." She laughed. Eloise kissed his cheek, letting go of his hand and taking the blanket from around her shoulders. Smiling, she pulled the bag he'd brought from the beach and opened it. She pulled some clothes out and then looked over at him. "Keep your eyes closed. I have no where where else dry to change." She said, throwing the blanket at him.

(I have to go. I won't be able to post again until tomorrow...later gator.)

Ashton sighed enthusiastically and let out a laugh. "That's a damn shame." As she turned away and began to tug off her damp clothes, he reached around and pulled the ring he'd found earlier out of his pocket. It wasn't an engagement ring...at least, not one he'd ever seen. He hid it in the palm of his hand and waited for her to finish, while, respectively, not looking at her nude body and taking an intent attention to the outside rain instead.

Rolling her eyes, Eloise stripped out of her wet clothes and replacing them with the dry ones from the bag. "Done." She announced, sighing as she spoke the word. Eloise began pulling her hair into a loose, messy bun and securing it with a hairtie. Before she tied it, small strands fell out, hanging messily against parts of her forehead. She laid her wet clothes at the mouth of the cave, in a spot where the rain couldn't hit them but the sun would be able to.

Ashton bit his lip nervously and raked a hand through his hair. "Come hereee. I have something for you."

"I'm like... two feet away." She said, scooting back towards him. Eloise leaned against the wall again, looking over at him curiously.

He frowned at her and stuck his tongue out. "That's two feet farther than you should be." he winked at her and sighed, again moving his hand down to retrieve the ring from his pocket. It felt cold in his hand, a nice change from the heat they were under. He reached for her hand and pulled it closer to him, moving the ring forward and gently sliding it onto the correct finger. He tilted her hand a few times to observe the new piece of jewelry, then looked back up at her and let go. "I think you look perfect with it." he whispered, giving her a half smile.  

"I think it's actually about a one foot and eleven inches farther than I should be, unless of course you want me in your lap." She corrected. Eloise watched curiously as he took her hand, then held it out to look at it. She put her arms around his neck, hugging him. "You might be a bit too mice for your own good. When we get home, as I hope we will soon, don't let anyone take advantage of you." She said softly, removing her arms.

Just gonna..... Bump.

Ashton looked up shyly. "And why's that?"

Eloise looked up, slightly puzzled. "Which part are you asking that question about?"

"Being taken advantage of." He repeated, half-smiling. "You've forgotten...there is no one to take advantage of me."

"I said, when we get home." she said softly, smiling. Eloise closed her head, leaning her head back against the wall.

He laughed lightly and shook his head, leaning over and kissing the soft patch of skin under her ear, then whispering. "What I meant was...no one is going to take advantage of me, because I'm already taken." 

Eloise turned her head, letting her eyes flutter open so she could look at him. "Taken, huh?" she smiled, riasing an eyebrow.

"Oh yes." he winked, leaning in closer. He began to speak once more, "I'm afraid I've begun to fall for this absolutely beautiful girl, who is just perfect and amazing. I'd do anything for her." all the while tilting his head and pressing his lips to hers...for the second time. Rather than back out, he brought his hand up to brush against her cheek again, and continued to kiss her softly.

Eloise smiled, making no move to back away. "I have a feeling that lucky girl feels the same way." She said, saying the last word just before their lips met. She kissed him back softly, moving her hand up to rest on his shoulder gently.
