Two households, both alike in dignity,

In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,

From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,

Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.

~ William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet Prolouge

In other words, there are two families, the Capulets and Montagues, who have hated each other for centuries. You will most likely know them from the play by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. The reason behind this feud between these two families is unknown, but one thing is certain. They do not like each other. In fact, they hate each other so much it results in many deaths between the two families.

This roleplay is set in modern day Virginia, in a small town filled with humans. This roleplay is not about Romeo and Juliet. In fact, do not even make the characters Romeo and Juliet. There is also another twist in addition to it being in modernd day. The Capulets are a large family of vampires, while the Montagues are a large pack of werewolves. Every member of each family is related someway or another. Then there is the royal family, made up of powerful witches and warlocks. There are other people outside of the royal family and the two families. Some are other vampires, werewolves, witches or humans, shapeshifters, etc.

Both feuding families have a Lord and Lady, which are the head of the family. Then, the rest are cousins, daughters, aunts, uncles, etc. In the royal family, there is a Prince. That is it. The Prince's word is law. There is no king, no queen, no princess, just a prince and then the prince's family.

This roleplay takes place in 2013, in United States Virginia. The head warlock of the royal family is the mayor of the town. The humans do not know about vampires and werewolves and warlocks and witches and such, but they do know about the feud between the two families. They're just unaware of how severe it is. They don't know about the multiple deaths, and gang fights that occur when they're all sleeping. Sorry if this is very unclear, I can't really think right now and I'm trying to do this in a hurry. Message me if you have any questions.

Rules

  • THIS IS THE BIGGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT RULE! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT MAKE THIS ROLEPLAY ABOUT LOVE. I DO NOT WANT A WHOLE BUNCH OF FORBIDDEN LOVE GOING ON BETWEEN THE TWO FAMILIES. THEY HATE EACH OTHER. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE!!!!!!!! EACH OTHER! IT IS NOT A REGULAR OCCURANCE OF TWO KIDS FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE FAMILY TO FALL IN LOVE. I WILL ALLOW ONE FORBIDDEN LOVE, AND THAT IT BETWEEN MY CAPULET GIRL AND SOME BOY FROM THE MONTAGUE FAMILY AND THAT IS IT FOR NOW. ALSO, I DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN UNTIL LATER ON IN THE ROLEPLAY
  • Cussing is alright, just don't over do it
  • No details in sex
  • no Powerplaying
  • No God Modeling
  • Create drama, have people die. They're pratically two gangs fighting each other
  • Make at least one Capulet and one Montague. Also, make at least one boy and one girl
  • Do not join and never come back

Opening Post

Johanna was at school. She wore a white sundress with a jean jacket and brown boots. She carried a notebook in one hand, and had her book bag on her shoulder. She looked around quietly. She spotted Vitali, a Montague Junior. Their eyes met and Vitali's lip curled into a wolfish snare. Johanna looked away and kept walking to her math class.

Vitali walked with Ben to U.S history. Him and Benny were shoving each other around. Benny laughed and they walked into the classroom. They sat down next to each other and talked before the bell rang.

Julia was talking with Prince Antonio in the mayor's office at city hall. She was complaining about the Montagues. Antonio shook his head. Miss Capulet, I can't just force the Montague's out of town.

Bree walked into History and sat down next to Vitali. She punched his arm playfully and put him in a headlock.

Thanks

Mia: *she slipped into school silently, trying to avoid as much contact with people as possible. She was dressed all in black with her raven black hair covering the scarred half of her face. She headed to her class.*

Dimitri: *was getting ready for work. He had on jeans and a tshirt, along with his duster jacket. Even though people often made fun of him for wearing it, he loved his coat, and would never part with it.*

Cheyenne: *she was hanging out in her house, planning on going to the mall later, but it was too early for her to be out and about right now.*

Dave: *even though he was suppose to be in school, he was playing guitar on the front porch of his house. He hadn't lived with his parents for years, and normally doesn't school because of that.*

Bree let go of Vitali and looked at the board when the teacher came in. She hummed boredly and stretched. Vitali threw a pencil at her and she threw it back at him. She laughed softly and Vitali threw a crumpled piece of paper at her.

Johanna sat in Math class, paying attention. She stayed quiet and kept her head down. She looked around after finishing her work.

Mia: *went into the classroom just as the teacher started the lesson. She slid into her desk without a sound and got out all her stuff.*

After class, Bree and Vitali walked out of class. It was lunch time, and they walked with each other. Johanna walked around and spotted Mia. She quietly walked over. "Hello, Mia." Vitali and Bree looked around when they got to one of the many Montague tables. They sat down and looked for other family members.
