Power: Force fields. Lucey can create small or large protective barriers around herself and others. Along so, she is very flexible. Maybe enough to be classified as a contortionist.

Short Backstory: "Maybe later since I might bore you to death."

Extra: Lucey is also a skilled ballet dancer. Though that has nothing to do with SHIELD or her powers, it does help a little with being light on her feet. She dances en pointe and will often be seen with her pointe shoes on, dancing around. Plus, y'know, she's gotta know how to fight, so she can kick some ass if need be.

The Super-Soldier formula that he has metabolized has enhanced all of his bodily functions to the peak of human efficiency. Notably, his body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him phenomenal endurance. -Thank you Internet for summing that up for me in a clean, fancy sort of way.

Alaina walks around her office at SHEILD headquarters, waiting for some papers to print. Her least favorite part of working here was paperwork..

Agent Barton watches everyone in the room where they keep the tessaract, wondering why it was starting to act up. No one had tampered with it.

Lucey was bored. As usual. There was nothing for her to do. She had heard the Tesseract had begun to act up, and the whole day her mind had been trying to come up with ways as to why. Agent Barton seemed to know more about these things than she ever did. Maybe he knew why. Or had a theory. Without taking the time to put some regular shoes on, Lucey walked in her pointe shoes into the watch room for the Tesseract. Barton was either on the ground or in his "nest". Standing on her toes, using her pointe shoes to her advantage she looked around for him, craning her neck up to look over some of the large devices that were there in the room.

I'm not exactly sure what I should do with Steve. I feel I shouldn't bring him in yet. xD

"Miss Everly," an agent says as he walks into Alaina's office. She looks over at them, "Yes?" she asks. "Director Fury wanted me to give this message to you," he continues, walking over to her and giving her the folded paper. "Uh, thanks," she says as he quickly turns and leaves. Alaina unfolds the paper, and reads it quietly. Problems with the tessaract, report to Watch Room was written in Director Fury's nearly illegeble scrawl. "Great," she says, throwing the paper away. She leaves her office and heads to the elevator.

Agent Barton walks up behind Lucey quietly. "Looking for someone?" he asks with a smile.

Lucey gave a light yelp, quickly clapping a hand over her own mouth and spinning around to face him. "You," she breathed with a little laugh. "You startled me for a second." When up on her toes she was nearly as tall as he was. But when she lowered herself back down onto flat feet, she had to resume looking up. "The Tesseract...I hear it's behaving strangely? ...Why?" she asked with her hands behind her back and her feet in third position.

Barton "Sorry for startling you....And I wish I knew why," he says, looking at the tessaract. "No one had been near it when it started acting up. There was nothing tampered with, at least on this side," he says. Scientists were going up to it now, running tests on it. 

Alaina arrives and sees Director Fury talking with a group of agents. She walks up to him, "I got your message," she says. "But I don't think there's anything I can do to help."

"I need you incase we have to evacuate this place," he says and walks away.

Lucey raised an eyebrow, "On this side? There's more than one side?" she asked, looking back at the glowing blue cube and all the scientists. Such high maintnace was required for such a small object. But from what she'd read and retained, it was very powerful. It somewhat worried her that no one knew what was going on with it. Out of all these people. She looked back at Barton and casually folded her arms, rocking back and forth on her heels.

Barton nods, "Yes, the cube is a door to the other side of space. Doors open from both sides, so someone on the other side of this door must be messing with it," he explains. Director Fury walks in at that moment and goes to the lead scientist, Dr.Selvig. They chat for a little, then Fury talks into his earphone-walkie-talkie thing. "I think they might be evacuating," he says a bit quietly. Must be worse than I orginially thought...

You don't have to read this, I am just typing because I am inspired...

Alaina stands by herself, wondering when Fury's command to evacuate the place will arrive. The cube must be pretty unstable if he's evacuating, she thinks as she watches other agents await the same command.

Lucey listened intently to Agent Barton, afterward nodding in understanding. "So that's the problem. We don't know who or what is messing with the other 'door'," she said in an outloud sort of thinking. Her brown eyes flicker over to Director Fury as he walked in, going over to Agent Everly. She tried to listen in, but all she got was Fury whispering something about evacuating. Looking back to Barton she unfolded her arms and let them rest at her sides. "I think Fury is evacuating," she whispered. She'd need some actual shoes for this.

Its cool. (:

Barton nods, just as a loud alarm goes off. "Seems that you're correct," he says. He watches many of the scientists walk quickly to the doors, where Everly ushers them out. 

Alaina watches as Fury gives the signal to pull the alarm. "Get them out," Director Fury says to me. I hold the doors open so everyone Fury hasn't told otherwise, to escape. "Move just a little bit faster," I yell. 

Lucey stood up on her toes again, looking around at everything as the loud alarm sounded overhead. "Should we go? Or stay?" She was perfectly fine with staying. Whatever was happening with the Tesseract she could handle. Maybe. Who knows what kind of powerful thing might become of it. Would her force fields be able to withstand it? Lucey looked back over at Barton, standing on flat feet again, her eyes searching him for an answer or some instruction.

Barton: "I have to stay," he replies. "If you really want to, I don't think Fury would oppose since you have powers." As the last of the scientists clear, Agent Everly closes the door. His eyes go back to the tessaract, which is flaring up again.

Alaina closes the door. "Anything else you'd like me to do, Director?" she asks. Fury nods, "Stick around, Agent. We might need you," he says. "Doctor Selvig, care to explain to me why it's doing this?" Fury says, turning his attention back to the cube. Alaina sighs and stays beside the door.

Lucey nodded her head. She was extremely new to SHIELD. Nothing big and eventful had happened thus far with her presence. She turned and looked to the Tesseract. It was glowing brighter and flaring wildly. Her palms opened at her sides regenerating a clear, yet still visible, purple-tinted bubble it seemed. She had them ready just in case the cube decided to sputter out any rays or debris. Her eyes watched the Tesseract closely. Never had she had the feeling of such uncertainty. (meh. sorry)

Alaina watched as the tessaract began to glow and flare up. Whatever that thing was going to do, she knew it couldn't be good. Fire.. she thought. Her hands were soon covered in bright flames. It looked pretty scary, but Alaina knew how to control them. She just hoped she wouldn't have to use them.

Barton walks over to Director Fury and tells him what he told Lucey. "You're telling me that the cube is a door," Fury said, a little shocked. "Yeah, it's a door to the other end of space," Barton repeated. Fury shook his head. "We might want to step back some, Sir, it's getting worse," Barton said, watching the cube glow brighter.
