In the Medieval World on the continent of Coriell, lies six large kingdoms. They all have their own land and a large palace. Each one is leader by one ruler. The ruler is chosen by blood, as in whoever is the next oldest male heir in line gets the throne. Women are obsolutely forbidden to take the throne, except things have changed now. Luparious' king has died, and he has no family except for one daughter. No uncles, cousins, nephews, or sons to take the throne, and his last dying wish was that his daughter take his place as Ruler. There is only one Ruler of each kingdom. One King. Their spouse has no ruling title. The king's wife is not considered a queen, just the King's wife. 

Each kingdom is represented by an animal. Their animal is sacred to them, and anyone is forbiddened to kill it, and if another kingdom kills it in front of them, it's considered disrepectful and has even been known to start wars in the past. 

On the last day of each month, all six kingdoms come together with their Rulers, Nobles, and a few chosen villagers to represent their kingdom at the Great River Valley, which is no man's land. It is a time of peace and it is when most treaties are signed. 

Due to the new ruler of Luparious being a women, most of the other kingdoms are furious. They like the old ways, and think one of the male nobles should be selected as the new King. But the First-ever queen will not back down. It is the first time in history Coriell has ever had a queen, and she's as stubborn as she is proud. Some of the other kingdoms have been thinking of declaring war on Luparious, and even civil war is on the brink among the Kingdom. 

In addition, tension between the other kingdoms is rising. Some believe that they should have one ruler to rule all of Coriell as they believe that the other kingdoms can't be trusted to have a strong ruler. Kindgdoms have stopped trading with other kingdoms, fights break out during the Gatherings, and everyone is on edge. People are afraid of total war, and it looks like it might be closer than ever before. 

Luparious

Specific Allies- Ferrem and Lutracacious 

Specific enemies- Dracolis, Anguis, Equuslous 

Kingdom- Luparious is the most advanced and largest of all kingdoms. They have many factories to produce steel and iron for weapons and buildings. Their Kingdom is a large city with their castle right in the center. They are known to be the most stubborn and cunning. They are sharp tongued. Outside of their Kingdom's walls are woods. 

Bordering Neighbors- Equuslous and Lutracasious 

Lutracacious 

Animal- Sea otter

Specific Allies- Luparious

Specific enemies- None 

Kingdom- Lutracasious is known to be the most laid back and relaxed kingdom. They don't like fighting and are often known as cowardly, which they are not. Their kingdom is centered around a large salt lake and the ocean. They fish and trade it with other kingdoms. Their palace's backyard is literally the beach to the ocean and the village is on the pebbly banks of the lake. They are typically tan from fishing all day.

Ferrem

Animal- Bear

Specific Allies- Luparious and Equuslous 

Specific enemies- Anguis and Dracolis 

Kingdom- Ferrem are typically known to be harsh and fierce. Their whole entire kingdom is trees. The palace and houses are even camouflage to blend into the trees. They are great climbers and they mostly produce wood. They are brutal and typically big.

Dracolis

Animal- Dragon

Specific Allies- Anguis 

Specific enemies- Pretty much all the other kingdoms except Anguis. Especially Luparious

Kingdom- Dracolis produces armory and weapons mostly. They are a cruel and harsh kingdom, with leaders tending to be power thirsy and ruthless. They are powerful, up there with Luparious. They train at a young age to fight. Their kingdom is similar to Luparious, except that all their buildings are black and surrounding the palace instead of woods around mountains. It is said that the last dragon, Kuzolo, lives on the highest cave at the highest mountain. They're old fashion and prefer the old ways

Anguis 

Animal- Snake

Specific Allies- Dracolis 

Specific enemies- Pretty much all the other kingdoms

Kingdom- Anguis is a rocky enviroment. Their palace is the smallest one, and their kingdom is pretty much the weakest and smallest kingdom. Their homes are made out of stone, and they don't produce anything. They're like Dracolis' little brother. They do what Dracolis does and goes along with them.

Equuslous

Specific enemies- Dracolis and Anguis 

Kingdom- Equuslousians are a wild spirited and open people. They aren't afraid to speak their minds and are loyal to each other. Their kingdom has no gates surrounding it and is on the open moor. They produce meat and crops. Their palace is surrounded by small townhouses.

Bordering Neighbors- Anguis and Luparious

• Do not ask me to make a queen. The only queen that has ever been in power is Luparious'

Day of the Gathering

Isidore loaded into the carriage that would take her to the Great River Valley. There were many carriages behind it that would bring many of other Luparious' Nobles and servants and chosen villagers along with her. It would be her first gathering as queen. She sat up straight and stared out the carriage window as the horses started moving the carriage. The only other passenger in it was Isidore's white she-wolf, Matilda. Isidore placed a hand on her wolf's head and took a deep breath. She wore a beautiful white, silk dress and her hair was braided.

Eponine helped load the people into the carriages for the gathering. She mumbled impatiently. Her two year old son, Charles, kept a tight hold onto her servents ragged dress. At last, when everyone was loaded, she hopped into a crowded horse drawn carriage of Anguis servants with Charles on her lap. 

May had not been chosed to go to the gathering this time, so she stayed back with other Equulous villagers and the nobles that had been left behind. She brushed her horse, Dawn, in the stables. She sighed contently. 

Tybalt was already in the building were the gathering were held. Ferrem were the first to get there, Dracolis second. You could pratically feel the tension between the two kingdoms, but Tybalt didn't notice. He was at the food table, eating meat pies and bread. One of his many children pulled on his pant leg and he turned around and scolded him. The boy frowned and pointed at a dessert. Tybalt looked back and forth between the child and food and sighed. Alright. But do not tell you mother I gave you it before dinner. He said with a laugh. He handed the boy the food and he took off to eat it in privacy with a happy bounce in his step. 

Rowan was back at Lutracacious' kingdom. He, too, was not chosen to go. Instead, he swam in the lake, going under and holding his breath for a long and then coming back up. He splashed a few of his childhood friends and dived under again like an otter. 

Drake was at the gathering place with two other Dracolis and was arguing with a Ferrem noble and his wife. He got loud and heated, and someone had to come over and pull Drake away from the argument, due to his famous temper that almost everyone knew about.

Selene's parents had left, but she had been choosen to stay. Much like Rowan, she was at the lake with childhood friends but they stayed on the shore. They sat and talked occasionally laughing or teasing eachother.

Finnick was with the others from his kingdom. headed to the Gathering.

Luparious arrived at the Great River Valley. Isidore walked out and Matilda jumped out behind her. She walked right next to her owner, growling protectivly. She walked into the room and everyone stopped talking and started at her. She walked in with her head held high and standing up straight. She walked to the six throne chairs that were placed inside. She took a seat in Luparious' chair and Matilda sat next to her. The Luparious flag was hanging above her chair. 

Rowan swam to shore and splashed Selene and her friends playfully. An otter swam next to him and went under water.

Selene squealed, along with her friends. "Rowan!" she called, suprised by the splash.

Yes Thank you! We need kings

Rowan laughed and floated on his back. What are you guys doing? It's a perfect day for a swim. Stop loittering on the shore. 

"You just want to splash us." she accused with a laugh. She walked to the edge of the water,slightly closer than before. "Besdies, you cant make me." she teased.

Finnick sat upon his throne, next to Isidore. He looked tense, he didn't escpecially feel comfortable today. This was his first Gathering as king.

Rowan laughed and went under water. He swam to her leg and grabbed it, pulling her farther out into the water. He pulled her into the deep end and pulled her leg down, bring her head under water for a split second. He came back up and took a deep breath of air. I think I can make you.

Isidore looked straight ahead. She refrained from looking at the King's, especially Finnick. She wasn't sure where Ferrem's loyalties lie now with her Kingdom due to the change of leadership. She breathed deeply through her nose and set a delicate, porcelin like hand on Matilda's head. Tybalt walked up to the throne chairs and smiled at Isidore. Isidore! He cried. How splendid it is to see you. You will lead Luparious into greatness, just as your father did and his father before him. Isidore nodded her head. Thank you. She said kindly. Tybalt looked at Finnick and bowed to his king. As will you, new king. He said with a smile and he turned around and saw one of his daughters tugging at a Dracolis' pant leg. Meredith, stop that this instant! He cried and ran after her. Isidore toook a glance at Finnick. More people flooded into the room and two more kings took their seats. Anguis and Lutracacious are here. Isidore said to no one in particular. 

With a smile he watched Tybalt run off. Finnick looked over to Isidore, waiting for her to meet him eyes. "Yes, now we just have to try and keep Dracolis and Anguis off everyones throats." he answered quietly.

Selene made a noise that  was a combination between a yelp and a laugh. "Rowan!" she reapeated after surfacing, and pounding a fist into his chest, not hard enough to hurt him but enough to make a point.

Isidore made a face. Unlikely. Tension is already rising between your kingdom and Dracolis. And it looks like mine is including itself in too. She said and frowned darkly. 

Rowan laughed and wiped his face of water. I'm sorry. 

Finnick looked toward her again, and lowered his voice. "Isidore, I want you to know that no matter  what the other kingdoms do I will support you as a fellow ruler." he said before looking around and watching the on-going of the room.

Selene rung her hair out. "I doubt that, but you are forgiven." she joked. Her smiled was wide, and she splashed him before darting under and away.

Isidore smiled and held her head up, glad to have an ally. Matilda laid down around the throne chair and examined the room. Isidore looked around and said quietly after a while. Thank you. 

Rowan laughed and swam after her.  

Finnick smiled. "My pleasure." he answered proudly. He knew he'd done the right thing, although it might not have been the easiest.

Selene surfaced and took a deep breath.
