Story

- You just finished high school, and you were ready to settle down then start up college. When you are told your parents signed you up for a four year term of college in FRANCE. You were very upset knowing you have to leave all your friends, and family behind. But you pack your bags, and are on your way. How will you spend your 4 years? Being the wanna be or being the cool kids? Being the partier or the studier? Being the heartbreaker or heart taker?

As I slide my hands through my hair going through of what clothes I still have to unpack, I relieze college is already starting in a week. Nerve ran through my head with thoughts of failing school, or never figuring out what career pathway I want to go down. As I finish putting away all my clothes, I head to the door and started for the cafe downstairs. 

Edward

I lay my bed listening to Imagine Dragions on full blast, I look up at my ceiling and wish at any moment I would feel as if I was back home. But of course I never got that feeling. I was only here for about a day or two, and already missing home? This may not be the best college expierence, I thought. But then maybe, it might be the best expeirence. I guess I will just have to wait and find out.

Skylar had just finished unpacking all of her things in her room and was now out exploring the campus. Already she was feeling a little homesick, missing all her pets back at home and her friends. But at least she had Connor. The one piece of home. Though he was quiet and tended to just stay with himself. She walked along trying to mentally place things so she could remember them for later if she needed them again. As she passed by the cafe, she could see Connor inside, sitting by himself on his phone like usual.

Alexandra

As she made it down to the cafe she took a seat next to a unfamilar face, he had dark hair and a easy going look about him. She looked at the menu, and glanced at the different drinks on they had. She glanced over at the boy, then back at the menu. "I'll take a Carmel latte, please." As she finished her order, she looked over at the boy and gave him a friendly smile. "Been here long?" She said, reffering to the college. As anyone that was allowed in the cafe had to be going to that college.

Connor glanced over as a girl came and sat next to him. His eyes quickly diverted back to his phone, which he was just holding to make it look like he was occupied with doing something. He was an socially awkward child. And having a pretty girl sitting next to him like that made him anxious and nervous. Once she spoke to him, he slowly looked over at her with his brilliant blue eyes, his lips quivering to say something but nothing coming out at first. "I..uh...N-No..I...I haven't," he finally said giving a sideways smile as he finished.

Alexandra

She brushed her hair back with her fingers. She could sense a bit of nervousness. "O," She paused, then gave him a light smile. "Either have I. Infact, I just got her two days ago." She said. She looked over at the waitress as she handed her Carmel Latte to her, and smiled. She took a sip. Then put it back on the table, then backed over at him. "What are you studying for?" 

Connor smiled and gave a little nod, putting his phone in his hoodie pocket. "My sister and I came two days ago, too." His eyes went to the waitress then at his hands that rested on the table in front of him. He looked back over at her when she spoke again, giving a light shrug and a sideways smile again. "I haven't decided. Probably something in art." Both him and his sister were very good artists. She had figured out exactly what she wanted to do, but he was still left undecided.

Skylar was bored as usual. It seemed her anti-social brother had successfully found someone to talk to. But she was happy for him. She continued on with her walk, looking around happily at everything the college had to offer as out-of-school little places.

Alexandra

She gave him a interested gaze, "That's fun, I have always been fasinated with art. I just never was the artist myself." She smiled. "Anyway," she took a sip of her Latte then put it back down. "I'm going to take a walk around the campus. Wanna come?" She said picking up her coat, and leaving the money and tip on the counter. "O, and I'm Alexandra by the way. You can call me Alex." 

Edward

He sat up, and headed for the door. He never really got a good look at the campus, and he thought with school starting in a week better be a good idea to go now. He passed by the cafe,  and saw Alex with a boy. He gave a surely smirk then kept walking.

Connor gave a smile, "Anyone can be an artist. You've just got to practice and...work with it." He looked over at her and smiled fully. He liked talking about art. It made him feel genuinely happy. He nodded his head and moved some of his hair out of his eyes, agreeing to her question. Once he slid out of the booth, he introduced himself. "I'm Connor. Not really a nickname you can make out of that..but I guess you could try..." he said looking down occasionally while rubbing the back of his neck.

Skylar wasn't sure what to do now. Friendless and lost, she didn't know who to turn to find something to do. Maybe talking to some random person would fix things. She was always looking to talk to someone. A trait she had acquired from her mom, and one of the things that annoyed her brother. But..who to talk to?

Alexandra

"When you put it that way, but I guess I'm the kind of person who loves to look at art. I could look at the same picture for hours, but never get tired of it. It's beauty will always remain." I smiled, as I picked up my drink I started for the door.

Edward

As he continued walking he passed a girl, accidently bumping into her. He turned back, "Oh" He paused for a second. "I'm sorry, I didn't you see you there." He gave her a smile.

Connor smiled and nodded in agreement with her words. He quickly went to the door to open it for her, and walked out after. "So, um," he said catching up to her side, "have you..found any cool places around here?"

Skylar turned around when someone bumped into her, seeing it was a boy. "Oh, no, it's fine. ...Are you attending this college, here?" she asked, thinking he was the perfect person to try to befriend.

She smiled at what a gentlemen he was, usually the guys she met never opened the door and were rude. This is a change, she thought. "Um, not really.  There is this one part of college, it's like hang out area. It has hammicks, and picnicks areas." She said smiling, walking beside him. "You?"

Edward

He nodded, "Yeah, I actually just got here about two days ago. You?" He said smiling.

Connor usually wasn't ever this open or talkative with anyone he'd just met. He guessed there was just something about her that made him come out of his shell. "I haven't been out yet until today. ...That..hangout place sounds pretty cool. ...Do you think there's a lot of people there?" He always got a little nervous around a big group of people. So, naturally, he wanted to prepare himself before going into the sea of people.

"Hey, me too," Skylar said with a smile. "I'm Skylar. Sky if you'd like. ..It's nice to meet you. ..I haven't met anyone new yet since I've been here. Been too busy unpacking and stuff." She gave a little laugh and looked down at her feet. "Sorry..I...talk...a lot."

"I'm not sure." She smiled, "Maybe we can go there or somewhere out of campus?"  She said pushing her hair back.

Connor hadn't thought of leaving campus. It kind of made him anxious. This was France. The place of love. He didn't know a word of French. But maybe she did. "Do you know any French?" he asked, looking over at her. "Because I'd like to go look at the city and...it'd be sorta hard if we didn't know a little of the language," he added with a small laugh.
