Lark Karrth

He looked at the maid, interested. "The queen is allergic to bee stings?" he asked, blinking his eyes in surprise. That's good information. Great for a plan if I want to sneak into the palace or something... Just catch a bee, put it in a little cage thing, then release it into the room where the queen is. BAM! Instant distraction!

"That's horrible news," Lark said, although dishonestly. "It would be disastrous if the queen died." 

Marina hesitantly reached out, placing a hand on his arm. "Kaito." was all she said, very quietly.

Marina put her hand on his arm again,this time with heasitation. "Kaito. Calm down. And yes, I have a feeling I do. They'd appoint you.  You're her right-hand man." she said quietly before removing her hand a taking a step back. It felt weird to touch another person. She usually kept to herself, unless she had to speak to someone for work.

The maid nodded in agreement. It's awful. Oh goodness, if she died, Evermore would fall into pieces and Wonderland would be destroyed. She said and quickly hurried away. Alaska nodded in agreement and looked at Lark. Alright Jonas, let's get going. The queen's gonna be fine. She said and skipped on her way back to the palace doors. She hummed happily and waved at people cheerfully as the passed. She looked at Lark. Come back anytime for all the food you can eat. Friday nights are all you can eat for the servants. All the cooks make a whole bunch of food and the queen lets us eat in the ball room. We set up tables and tables of food and drinks. There's a chocolate fountain and all the food you can imagine! There's dancing and music and a live musical band. Maybe you can bring Hewie. She said as they got to the palace doors and opened them up. 

Kaito shook his head vigorously. No. They wouldn't have me be king. Who knows who they would elect, with Lavinia having no family. He said and looked at her hand.  

Marina ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "I'm stubborn?" she asked, feeling slightly awkward for touching him.

Kaito looked at her and his mouth twitched into a small smile. From what I can tell so far, yes. More stubborn than me. 

Marina allowed him a small smile as well. "Well, I'm a woman." she stated.

Kaito now gave a small, full smile. True. At least you're not scared of everything and jump at every little noise. It's better to be stubborn. He said. 

Marina laughed lightly, a quiet noise. "Until I'm to stubborn to do something and get myself killed."

Kaito shrugged. I suppose. He looked thoughtful. I just wonder if there would be anything that would make Lavinia stop being so scared all the time. 

Marina raised a brow at him. "Scheming now are we?" she joked.

Lark nodded, listening to Alaska. The offer of those Friday nights did sound absolutely splendid. Hewie would be delighted. "Hewie and I would love that," he said, looking at Alaska. He then stopped walking outside. "I can make it back to my place from here," he scratched his nose pensively. "... Thank you so much. For the food. I, um. I really appreciate it." Lark nodded briefly, before walking away without a word. He rushed through the city, until finally he reached a small, seemingly abandoned building. Walking into it through the back door, as the front was covered in weeds and various other plants, Lark sat down in an old, dusty chair. He let out a small laugh, before looking to his right and seeing Hewie. 

"Hewie," Lark said, with a sly, evil grin. "Get ready to eat feasts every single day." I've memorized the layout of what I've seen in the palace so far. If I rob just a little bit of it every day, then it won't be so noticeable. Tonight, though- Tonight I'll explore the palace. Perhaps pick up a few things as I go by. 

Marina gave another small, light laugh. "Rant all you want. Your beginning to sound like your getting a plan thought up. If we can do something..." she trailed off in thought.

Alaska smiled and waved. You're welcome! She called. I'll see you Friday! She said as he disappeared out of sight. She walked back inside and went back into the kitchen. She sat on the stool and watched everyone cook. She talked with people occasionally, but when she tried to get up to cook people would shoo her away, so she sat where she was and talked with people as they passed by. She hummed boredly and twirled her blonde hair with a finger. 

Katio shrugged. Medication, if Wonderland had any. But that's something we lack. Then there's the cruel way, which is to force her to face her fears. But she would probably have a meltdown and freak out in front of everyone, which is something we do not need. 

Marina leaned back against the wall. "What, excatly, is she so afraid of?" she asked quietly.

Lark Karrth

He grabbed an abandoned piece of paper, along with a rather short pencil, and began sketching out a map of the castle he'd visited so far. Lark's memory was rather amazing, remarkable almost. He imagined how many people in each room he'd seen thus far, and so represented those people as circles in each room. 

"... ... Welp. Just gotta wait until night, I guess." Lark leaned back in the chair, looking at Hewie from across the room. "Too bad you missed it, Hew. I ate a really nice meal."

Hewie blinked his eyes, kicking his legs as he sat upon a table. "That's okay!" he grinned. "I got my own food."

Marina sighed. "Being stuck here sucks at times like this."
