Story

In the future, in modern day Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue. These are: Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor. On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. On Choosing Day, sixteen year olds have a chance to pick the fraction they were born into and stay with their families, or choose another fraction and leave them and barely see them. Fractions live separately and by their own laws. 

Lately, the fractions Erudite and Abnegation have been growing angry at each other. Stakes are high, and tension between the two fractions is rising. Erudite has been trying to get Dauntless on their side while Abnegation has been trying to get Candor. Amity chooses no side, for their love for peace and hatred for war. 

The setting for this roleplay is a few days after Choosing Day and the new initiates are setting in their new homes. They are training to become part of the faction, and can face being factionless if they fail to complete the training. Feuds between Abnegation and Erudite are rising, and tension is higher than it has ever been.

Abnegation (The Selfless) I choose to turn away from my reflection, to rely not on myself but on my brothers and sisters, to project always outward until I disappear. - Abnegation Manifesto 

• The faction that values selflessness in the service of others. These are ones who do community service. Abnegation was formed by those who blamed selfishness for human nature's faults. They believe in selfless actions and attaining peace through the elimination of selfishness. The dystopic society of Chicago is ruled by a council of fifty people, composed entirely of representatives from Abnegation because their faction is incorruptible, due to their commitment to selflessney feet. They wear usually gray and don't show much loving affection, because it's to self satisfying. They don't look in the mirrors, and don't care about their appearance. The houses in the Abnegation sector are all the same size and shape. Abnegation's initiation ceremony is a quiet affair. The initiates, who spend thirty days performing community service before they can become full members, sit side by side on a bench. One of the older members reads the Abnegation manifesto, then all of the older members wash the initiates feet. Then they all share a meal, each person serving food to the person on his left.
  

• The faction who tests their bravery by attempting death defying feats. They are pierced, tattooed, reckless and black-clothed. Their primary purpose is to guard the fence that surrounds the city. In the choosing ceremony, it is noted that Dauntless provides the city with protection from threats both within and without. Dauntless children are known for their noisy and unruly behavior. They are seen laughing, shouting and involved in various games and dares. This faction lives at the “Pit”. An underground cavern that can cater to all of the families within the faction. Built into the uneven stone walls are places for food, clothing, supplies and leisure activities. Narrow paths and steps carved from rock connect them. There are no barriers or safety devices that prevents a poor soul from falling over the side and into their deaths at the bottom. Blue lanterns light the path of the passage ways and it grows stronger when the day ends. Members of the Dauntless faction are dressed all in black and are seen talking and shouting in expressive gesture. Initiates have a training routine they follow. They have to be in the training room by eight o’clock every day. Training takes place from eight to six then afterwards are free to do whatever they like after six. Initiates are then ranked to choose the top ten members who become a part of the Dauntless Faction while the remaining initiates become factionless and kicked out of the compound.

Hey why dont there be like a secret club. Like a place where all the factions, can go. The higher ups dont know about it. Its a factionless club where the initates or factions can just be themselves. It'll allow everyone to meet.

Charlie

Walked with the other initates. She was happy to get away from all the fighting and finally she could be at a place, where she could express her art. She wished Toby wouldve came with her. (That was her nick name for him) She began to have flash backs, but quickly chided herself Stop! Don't think about him, he made his choice. He chose to leave you, when your dad, started to have a drinking problem and beat you. He promised to protect me and take care of . . me. He lied, its what all boys do, they have no morals. They dont care. She sighed and brushed away a tear, at the mental argument with herself. It was time for a new Charlie. She veered over to a group of Amitians. She smiled at the girl who waved earlier. Hi, I'm Charlie and new here she smiled.

Roy- Strode into the library. He was hanging out with his friends and was gonna play tricks on some of the initates. He saw Thailia and stopped. Shes gorgeous he thought. 

Roy- Captivated by her eyes. He walked over, but paused when some guy spilled coffe on her. He glared at him. He walked over to her, Need some help? he grabbed paper towels and helped her clean up. I'm Roy.

Charlie

Smiled and hugged back Nice to meet you. Hey, I was just going over to the new factions club, wana join me?

Roy: Sorry. . I'll just. . he quickly turned away and walked away. Your a bumbling fool, Roy. She obviousally wasn't interested.

Charlie

Oh my. You haven't heard about the new factions club? Ok, your deffinately going. Put something on pretty and look cute. There will be guys from all the factions there. She looked away for a second, knowing Toby would be there to. She turned her smile back on quick Heres my adress meet me she wrote her adress on her hand. I need to check on some things at my house before we leave, see you then. She ran off towards her house.

Roy- Smiled and turned around No problem, anythign for a pretty girl. Hey, I was wondering, see me and my band are playing at the new factions club, would you like to come and see me?

She smiled and ran upstairs curling her hair and letting it fall down to her mid back in waves. She smiled and walked outside, putting on, her jean jacket. Her purple glitter eye liner, enhanced her blue eyes. 

Thalia blushed majorly when he called her a pretty girl. She nodded. Yeah. Sure. I mean . . . I might have to study, but I'll probably be able to come. 

Juniper walked to Charlie's house with a skip in her step.
