In the small, hidden town of Storybrooke, Maine, the townspeople are not all that they seem. Living in this town are the various fairytale characters most of us grew up to. They were cursed here to the "real world" by an Evil Queen who also robbed them of their real memories, making them forget who they really were. No one had any memory of anything that happened before they were exiled here. But thanks to Ms. Swan, the curse has been lifted and everyone remembers who they are again. But, surrounding the perimeter of the town, is a magical line that if crossed, you will lose all known memory of yourself and who you are. And it is not reversable. No one has ever left, and no one from the outside has ever entered.. It has now been a few months since you've regained your true identity. Some, and most, are content with staying here, and are taking it as an oppertunity to start anew. Others are homesick and wish to return to their rightful homes.

Belle was sitting in Granny's Diner, reading her book. She'd read it a million times before, but still loved it. Books were her life. And working in the library was just perfect. But she was off today, and so was spending it in the diner with an iced tea. She liked this new iced tea thing. Usually the tea she drank was hot. Her fingers pushed over another page of the book, nearing the end of another chapter.

Hook was leisurely walking around. Nothing really interested him in this town and it irked him that he couldn't leave to go explore. He needed something to motivate him to be more...happy and personalable. No one dared near him, but always eyed his gleaming hook he had polished all the time from afar, judging him by his gruff looks.

Nailia pranced gracefully around,her hair was pushed over one shoulder and she was barefoot. She smiled and walked happily around, thinking back on her memories of home. Straight ahead of her she saw a man, his hook gleaming. Grinning slightly uncontrollably, she kept her composure and kept in his general direction.

Hook's eyes shifted up from looking at his reflection in the curve of his hook. Ahead he saw a girl. One who was way to happy. He never understood how someone could be that happy. But a small smirk found it's way onto his face. As she went to pass, he put his hook out, letting it catch her wrist. Though it wouldn't hurt. Her small arm fit nicely in the crook of it. He spun her around to face him, "What's your name, love?" He wasn't good at first impressions, so forcing them upon people was kind of the only way he ever made "friends".

Nalia smiled wider when  she felt the cold metal of his hook on her arm. "Nalia." she answered simply, her voice was sweet and wonderful sounding, making her name sound like a short song. For a moment she did nothing but look at him, gather his image into her mind. "Your Hook. Or Killian." her smile turned to a smirk of satisfactory. Her hand found its way to her hair, pushing it away from her face.

Hook figured he'd strike some sort of fear within her. But she still kept her cheeriness. How in the world did she know his name? He was sort of thrown off a bit. "Right you are. And Nalia...I've never heard of you before," he said studying her face to see if he could remember seeing her somewhere. Nowhere in his thoughts could he match together the name and the face. And surely he'd of remembered hers. "Though I'd prefer Hook. Killian's just..ugly."

Nalia rolled her eyes, knowing she puzzled him. "Siren." she said holding her hand to her chest, then putting it on his "Pirate." This was the only explaination she offered. "Hook, then." she said correcting herself.

Hook's heart would be the only thing giving away his true emotions. It was beating rapidly through his chest and her small hand being placed almost over it, he was sure she could feel it. So he was quick to remove it. He gingerly nudged off her hand with his other. "I've heard of you 'sirens.' Causing trouble in the sea mostly. Deadly?" he stated, more than asked. He, for whatever reason, liked this girl. Even though him and her were completely different.

Nalia smiled when he asked the question. "Yes, very. We feed Her,the Ocean. She as alive as you an I, and the whole world depends on her." she said, happily telling the man she barely knew this information. Then she realized she had felt the fluttering of his heart when her hand was on his chest, mirroring her own. Gladly, she ignored this and tried to psuh the butterflies in her stomach out of her mind.

Nalia nodded, and realized quietly the effect her voice had on some people. Nalia, just pull the song from your voice. she thought internally. After second of concentrating she spoke again, but with less singsong in her voice, but the same sweet sound "Better?" Smiling softly, she waited for him to answer, twirling  her necklace around her finger.
