Ashling froze for a second. "Instinct. A-and when that boy picked up your phone.... I-i heard you yell. Don't ask how I knew it was you. I have no idea." she said quietly and resumed packing his things.She finished, zipped his suit case but just sat next to him for a moment.

Zachary looked at her. T-thank you. He said, feeling like he was about to pass out. He leaned his head on her shoulder. 

Ashling smiled and put her head very gently on top of his. She just sat for a moment, but then whispered "Lets get to the car, before you fall asleep." Not moving for the fear of hurting him, she sighed.

Zachary nodded. He shakily stood up. Let's go. He said, leaning on her a bit for support. Aunt Rachel will be out in the car. 

Ashling nodded, trying to take as much of his weight as he would offer. "What did you do you silly boy?" she asked in an almost scared tone.She clutched his suit case with one hand, but her earlier courage that it took to take his hand was gone.

Zachary shrugged. I wasn't supposed to tell you about the academy or interact with you. I bumped you on purpose. Did you know that? He said with a small laugh. 

Ashling shook her head, and kept on helping him down the hall. "Don't ever, ever, put yourself in danger like that again." she said as the neared the doors to the school

Zachary looked at her. But I wanted to talk to you. He said very quietly. They arrived to the car and Rachel helped Zachary into the back. She laid him on his stomach and he brought his legs up to his chest. 

Ashling also climbed into the back, she pulled his head onto her lap softly and looked down at him. "I'm glad you did, except it  cause all this."

Zachary shook his head. This happens like once a month. I'm used to it. He said. Rachel started driving. 

Ashling shuddered, and her hands shook with anger again, but only slightly. "Not anymore." she whispered.

Ashling ran her hand over his hair. "I hope your Aunt lets you stay at Gallahger. Or somewhere I can be sure your safe." she whispered

Ashling smiled a small , tierd smile. "Then we can get burnt." she joked back.She carefully examined his face, barely touching him. "I wish I had an ice pack....that would bring that swelling down." she mumbled.

Ashling smiled and shrugged. "Go to sleep, stupid." she teased and ran ahand over his hair again.

Ashling sighed  and closed her eyes herself, gently stroking his hair in a rythmic pattern. After a while she was dozing quietly.
