Ashling glared down at her own hands. "I-its just part of what you were trained to do. It was dutiful. You could have done nothing to go against it, or they would have done something like they did this time.Maybe worse. You only did what you had to." her words were made to sound reassuring to him, but she was afraid they only offered her any comfort. | |

Ashling pulled one of his hands into hers again. "It doesn't matter. Someday I might have to do the same. I don't care who you've shot, or why. I am training to be a spy and you were training too." her voice quivered again, but the look in her eyes were fierce and determined. She honestly didn't care if he killed her, she wouldn't let him feel bad about descions he couldn't change. | |

It was big so that it didn't cling to his back so much. Rachel smiled. "I need to go back to my office. Just call me if you need anything." She said and kissed him on the top of his head tentatively then turned and walked out. | |

Ashling also winced when she saw him in pain. She held her breath in, then let it out in a heavy sigh after Rachel had left. Squeezing his hand gently, she pecked his cheek and straightened her legs out. | |
