"Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid."- Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

"There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing. I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."- Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

"Curious. Your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack. Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabbling pirates can defeat the Flying Dutchman. And so despair leads to betrayal. And you and I are no strangers to betrayal, are we, Jack? [Jack, who has been looking through various containers, stops and glances at a P mark on his arm] [turning to face Jack] It's not here, Jack. What? What isn't? The Heart of Davy Jones is safely aboard the Dutchman, and so unavailable for use as leverage to satisfy your debt to the good Captain. By my reckoning, that debt has been settled. By your death... yet here you are. Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by."- Lord Cutler Beckett and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

"Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like you to note it-hearing now-that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, and be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" want to go once they pop their clogs. Savvy? We have a word for that, Jack. You can convert. I was thinking more of an as-needed basis."- Jack Sparrow and Philip Swift, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Story-

You and your family, or perhaps you and your friends, are aboard a cruise ship. Only two days into your voyage, something happens to the ship. A huge, uncontrollable fire has erupted below deck, causing the evacuation of everyone onboard. You and some strangers are herded to a lifeboat and lowered down, set adrift in the ocean. The boat washes up upon shore hours later, and your group goes to explore the beautiful island. You stay together, but there might be a few that wish to be alone.

Your attempts in trying to get off are useless. Four years later, everyone presumes you're dead. You've mastered the island and its exotic inhabitants have grown to like you. Getting off is nearly impossible, but by now, maybe you've come to like this place.

Slight name change: Elise is now Eloise.

---

Eloise was in the sea, wading in the crystal clear, turquoise water. She rather liked it here. It was always warm and always beautiful, unlike her old home. The more time she spent here, the more the memories of what life used to be faded away. Not that she minded. Her old life was one she wished she could forget. A rubber-feeling object nudged her hand. Her brown eyes flickered down and met with Nekoda, her dolphin friend. She ran her hand along his forehead to his dorsil fin. He swam forward, and Ellie held onto that fin, holding on as he dived under the water. Ellie's eyes had adjusted to the saltwater over the years, so openeing them wasn't a problem anymore. She hung loosely onto her companion as he propelled them through the water.

---

Leo flung a stick across the sand and into the ocean just as a wave receeded. The jumpy black and white spotted dog bounded after the stick and splashed into the water. He immediately came back to his master, his whole body shaking with uncontrollable happiness and a wet, sandy stick in his mouth. Leo bent down and patted his sides, smiling. "Good boy, Pongo. Good boy." The dog's name actually came from Leo's little sister. She kept calling him that and it just stuck. But if fit him and now he was the only thing that reminded him of his home.

it's all lies, darling.

Dimitri: *he walked with Mia, talking. Well, he was listening and Mia was talking to him really. That's how most girls were, wasn't it? His sisters were at least.*

Dave: *he sat on a rock near the beach with his two dogs. He was high. That was one thing from home that he couldn't get rid of. He had planted some weed, so he didn't run out. Anything else from home he didn't care about. He didn't miss his family, his band had abandoned him without any money or any way to get home. He had nothing left there. That's why he had come on the cruise, and got stranded.*

Cheyenne: *laid on the beach, tanning. Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed being in the sun.*

Holly let the sun warm her already tanned back. She took long breaths with a small smile spreaded across her face. She enjoyed the beauty of the strange land. In some ways, she was nearly glad that they had managed to crash against such a beautiful peice of land. In her hands she softy stroked her kitten, Graveyard. Purring happily, Holly happily strocked his ears. Eventually her peace was interrupted by her brother, Geo. Geo quickly took his place on sitting his rump in the sand near Holly. Holly grunted quietly to herself while looking the other way with a roll to her eyes. Geo gave a small smirk after he sensed Holly was not pleased with his presense. "Hello, my good sister!" He cheerfully teased as Holly gave a snort in reply. "Good morning" she mumbled in a displeased way. Geo chuckled looking out at the sea. He saw all the others; Ellios, Leo, Mia, Dimitri, Dave, and Cheyenne. He usually stuck around his sister though. Holly sighed scratching her head and looking down at her brother "Shouldn't you be off messing around with another guy or somethin'?" Holly asked with a pleading tone, hoping he'd go away eventually. Geo stood up then, shaking and dusting off all the sand. "Ya know, maybe you're right. See ya sister; but don't come crawling back to me when you wanna talk." and with that he joyfully strolled off leaving Holly with the smile on her face once again. ~ Soon enough, as Geo was walking, he came across Leo and his dog, Pongo. He smiled as he watched them play. "Nice dog there." He complimented.

Dave: *he stood up and walked around, looking for food. He was starving. His two dogs followed him, one on either side. They would protect him if anything happened, and Dave would protect them. He had protected them before. One time before band practice, one of the dogs had jumped on a car of the bassist and scratched the paint. The bassist, being furious had kicked the dog. Dave had knocked the guy out quickly. He had been just as quickly kicked out of the band.*

Eloise let go of Koda's fin and swam up to the surface herself. She was far away from shore. A little too far away for her liking. Nekoda swam beneath her on his back, allowing her to take hold of his two fins. He then swam as fast as he could forward on his back until they were at an acceptable depth of water. Ellie let go and rubbed Koda's forehead in a way of thanking him. She then swam to the shore, and walked out, water droplets running down her sunkissed skin.

---

Leo threw the stick just as Geo came up. "Hey, thanks man," he said squinting at him because of the sun. Pongo came bounding back, giving him the stick, then curiously sniffing at Geo. His whole body still wiggled back and forth with his tail as he sniffed at his feet first, then looking up at him and giving a friendly bark. "Shush, Pongo! There's no need for that," Leo said stroking his back.
