Lucifer Chandlure "Of course," I replied, looking out a broken window. "... But if I find this... 'Lark Ernest' before you do, I'll bring him back here on my own and send my crow for you after determining if it's him for not. But either way, you may keep the money." I glanced at Misery from the side. "If you do find him, I may throw in a little more money." Turning on my heel, I began to leave. "Luck be with you, MIsery." -- Aria Redde Reading his reply, a little bit of laughter left my mouth. In my neat handwriting, I wrote: Thank you. You have quite the name yourself. I'm glad you haven't pointed a gun at me yet. It seems like everybody in this city is trying to kill each other. Again, I threw the notebook over to him. -- Lark Ernest I was losing blood rapidly. I grasped my shoulder, trying to keep a grip on my consciousness. Looking down, my own blood had pooled around me. Everything seemed dizzy. It was a struggle to stand. Was I going to go this way? I tried to cut her, at least even the smallest of wounds, but I was growing weak. I then remembered, if you paid a certain amount of money to the man running the games, you could get out alive. Pressing my body against the cage, I looked at the man who had given me the knife. "A thousand," I whispered, handing him the money through the wires. There went my dinner for a few weeks. "Get me out of here." The man took the money greedily, opening the gate. I staggered out, handing him back the knife. People booed at me, punching me and pushing. But I didn't care. I was alive. Swaying in my step, I hurried into the shadows, where I leaned against a wall, exasperated.

Misery nodded. Goodbye. Hey, I never got you name. She said, watching him go. She was already thinking of where she would go first to look for this Lark Ernest guy. She tapped her fingers to her side and held her chin, thinking.

Lucifer Chandlure A cloth damp with paint thinner slept in my pocket. If I made somebody breathe in this, it'd be enough to knock 'em out for a bit. I ran through the city, looking left and right for a man who resembled the picture. That''s when I ran past him, a man with black hair who looked young, around Lark's age. He looked very much like the photo I'd found. He looked like he could deal with drugs. The man looked clean, clean enough to have a job. A job, like being a drugdealer. This had to be my guy. He was standing outside of some kind of store, and when I peered inside of the store, there was a long line for the bathroom. Walking up behind the guy, I quickly grabbed him and pulled him into the shadows, pressing the damp cloth against his mouth and nose, forcing him to breathe in the paint thinner. ((the man who Lucifer just kidnapped is Vitani's character, Rob.))

After awhile of thinking, Misery left to the Cageknife arena. She walked around through the crowds of people, looking carefully for anyone that resembled Lark. She pulled out the picture and walked around, when she saw the fight taking place. She held the photo up and compared the man in the photo to the one in the arena, bloody and worn out. When he got himself out of the fight, she watched him as he got pushed and booed, then retreat to the shadows. Misery put on a perfect innocent face, hugging her arms around her chest and walking over to Lark. She looked at him, up and down. Excuse me, sir. I don't mean to be a bother, but there had been a couple of guys out in front, harassing me. I saw how well you were doing in the Cageknife, and was wondering if you would help me. She said. It was a lame excuse, but she needed to get him away from all these people. Although the two were in the shadows, someone might hear something, or happen to look over at them. She doubted they would really do anything, but she wasn't taking any chances. I know you're probably worn down and hurt from the fight, but there were only two guys and they weren't that big. I'm sure you could at least scare them off.

Lucifer Chandlure Once the guy had been knocked out, I dragged the guy into Lorenzo's. I restrained him with ropes, tying him to a chair. Then I poured water on him, to bring him back into consciousness. I sat down in my own chair, so we were at eye level. I gave his face a hard slap, as I held a knife in my hand, pointed at his chest. "I know who you are," I hissed, "Lark Ernest." -- Lark Ernest I had been breaving heavily, a trail of blood following me wherever I went. That was when a woman approached me. She looked so innocent, like she knew nothing of the world we lived in. I tried to control my breathing as I listened to her request. Blood still trickled at a fast rate from my body. If I kept this up, I would die. "I'm sorry, but I'm in no condition to get into any trouble," I huffed, clutching my side wound, the one releasing the most blood. "... Maybe... You could get somebody else to..." My head was spinning too much for words. Looking at my hand, I could see that it was soaked in my blood. My clothes had been dyed a frightening red in some spots. I was standing one second, sprawled out on the ground the next. I had fainted from blood loss.

Member Posts: 1783 | Misery looked at him and made a face, groaning inwardly. She lifted Lark up, putting her arms underneath his armpits. Dragging him out, she headed towards Lorenzo's. She didn't have much difficulty dragging him. After awhile of dragging him, she got to the abandoned building. She dropped him outside, her arms aching. She then picked him up again and dragged him inside. "I found your boy!" She called.

Lucifer Chandlure I looked behind me, seeing Misery. I looked back at the guy I had tied to the chair. "Then who the hell is this?" I furrowed my brows together. "They both look like the person in the photo. They have the same features, but in the photo, you can't exactly see the guy's face." I scratched the back of my head. "Oh well, one of them is the guy. So I'll try to figure out which one is the right one." I took out another sack of money and tossed it to MIsery. "As promised. One thousand more dollars." I looked at the man Misery had dragged in, then looked at the man I had already tied up. I examined the photo once more. There was no telling which one was him. "Misery, do me a favor and tie up the one you got to that chair over there." I pointed across the room, at a chair. "I'll have to do some interrogating."

Misery looked at him closely, debating whether or not to help him. She supposed she should. He had given her much money. She lifted him up and threw him in the chair. She tied his hands together behind the chair and tied his ankles to the chair. She dragged the chair and Lark over to Lucifer.

Member Posts: 881 | This will be a terrible post from my phone. Onyx: I lifted the notepad and read her neat handwriting then wrote, "That it seems but I only kill if there is a good reason behind it." Mae: I chuckled as he stepped out of the cage then handed the man the knife and receiving my money. I threw my hood up on my head, then I walked away from the cell. I spotted the man whom I'd just fought being dragged off by a girl and I followed them, wondering what was going on. I climbed to the roof and watched inside through a skylight, making sure not to be seen. There was already one man tied up in there and the girl tied up the guy I'd fought as the man who seemed to be in charge told her too. Ghost: I entered the old warehouse where I spent most my time and sat down, leaning against the wall, with my arms crossed over my chest. I quickly fell asleep.

Aria Redde I paused for a moment after receiving the notebook, then looked at Onyx, holding up a finger to represent one minute. I stood up and took a few steps back, clutching the notebook in one hand. Maybe, if Ijumped far enough, I could reach him... I ran forth as fast as I could, and before I knew it, I was airborne. My feet hit the rooftop, and I quickly took several steps forward before I would fall to my death. I looked over at Onyx, a smile on my face. "Good to know you only kill when you need to," I brushed some blue strands out of my face. "As for me, I'm an assassin as a living. But don't worry, I won't hurt you." -- Lucifer Chandlure The guy I had tied up originally had spoken. I looked into his eyes, peering into his pupils for the truth. "Rob...? You say your name is Rob?" There were no reactions in his eyes. He had to be telling the truth. "Apparently you can't speak, Rob. You got your words mixed up in your sentence." After pointing out the obvious, I took a few steps back. "Well, Rob, I could use a witness. Upon seeing this, please do spread the word to drugdealers." I looked back to the man Misery had tied up. -- Lark Ernest I was coming around. My icy blue eyes blinked once, and I lifted my head, looking around. The flow of blood from my wounds had stopped, although I was pale and weak from the amount I'd already lost. There were others in the room. The girl, she was the one who had asked me for help before that darkness came, and two other men. One man was tied to a chair, and the other was looking at me... Wait a second, why was I restrained to a chair, too? I mumbled a few curse words. "I swear, I don't have any money on me right now. I don't have a wife for you to rape or a kid for you to kidnap. So let me go." I looked up at the girl, and the man with red hair. The man held a photo in front of my face. It resembled him greatly, and I immediately recognized the guy in the picture. "That's Eric Chandlure," I said quietly, examining the image. "... That guy was seriously addicted. God, biggest druggie ever." The man with red hair punched me in the face. "That's right, and you sold him the drugs, didn't you, Lark Ernest?" he growled, forcing me to look up at him by gripping my hair painfully. "So what if I did?" I winced, narrowing my eyes. "Does it matter to you?" The man let go of me, taking steps backward. "My name is Lucifer Chandlure. You killed my brother. You killed him. You know what he did after buying those God forsaken drugs from you? He overdosed." Lucifer held up a syringe, full of a strange liquid I had never reocgnized before. "This is rugginuca, an extremely addictive drug. Your body will immediately rely on it to survive. The withdrawal symptoms are... Less than satisfactory." Before I could say anything, the needle plunged itself into my bloodstream, and once it was out, I struggled in the ropes. Sweat was dripping down my neck, and minute by minute, the world would spin faster, and more colors would be added to the rainbow... "Idiot, I'll just buy more of it from somebody else," I mumbled, laughing a bit once I could stand up straight. He was soon laughing with me. "Wrong," he said, looking into my eyes. That piercing gaze, it creeped me out way more than the boogey man ever did. "... The last of the rugginuca was in that syringe."

Onyx: "I heard assassin's recieve good pay. I'm a drugdealer myself." I told Aria. Ghost: I woke up and got to my feet. I yawned then sighed at the growl of my stomach. Looking around, saw that I had nothing to eat and hopped out the window to go find some food. Mae: I listened to the men inside. "Rugginuca.." I racked my brain a moment, trying to figure out where I'd heard it before then quickly remembered. It was extremely hard to find. I looked down at the people again and realized how weak I had made the man in the fight, who was named Lark. I needed to help because the fight was fair and it was odvisiously not Lark's fault Lucifer's brother was a druggie, he was just making a living. I broke through the glass and landed inside, cutting my leg in the process, "Let him go." I starred straight into Lucifer's eyes.

Misery watched, a bit surprised at how serious this guy seemed, especially when. . . Lucifer was it?, injected the last of the addicting drug into this Lark fellow. She blended into the shadows, keeping a sharp gaze on the two men, more curious than anything else. When suddenly, the girl jumped through the window. A small smile tugged at the corners of Misery's mouth. Now, this was getting really interesting.

Ara Redde "The pay of an assassin manages to pull me through," I spoke modestly, stretching my arms. "Ah, a drugdealer?" I glanced over at him. "Are you a druggie yourself?" -- Lucifer Chandlure I was incredibly surprised to see that girl jump through the window. "'Let him go', you say," I mumbled, a small smile taking place on my lips. I returned the stare. "Now, why would I do that? He's a mark of filth on the world. And when you see some trash laying around, it's proper to get rid of it, correct?" I grabbed a gun from a compartment in the trenchcoat I was wearing, boldly pointing it at the girl. "I would advise you to leave, miss." -- Lark Ernest I was beginning to panic. I didn't want to die, from some kind of crazy withdrawal! The girl who jumped through the window, somehow she seemed familiar... Oh, that's right. She was the one who humiliated me at that CageKnife match. I narrowed my eyes. Why would she help me? While Lucifer was distracted, I threw all of my weigh to the side, proceeding to knock the wooden chair down and break it. Once I was about to get my legs free, now was the matter of dealing with my hands behind my back. Whatever, I could do without them. But first, was to free that fellow over there, the one mistaken as me. I ran over there, grabbing a shard of the window along the way. Using my hands, I was able to put the glass shard on the back of the chair, then grabbed it with my mouth. I cut through the ropes of the man, moving as fast as I could. Lucifer had turned around, trying to shoot me a couple of times. He shouted something at the woman in the shadows, something that sounded like, 'Help me and I'll pay you a bit more.'

Misery seemed to ponder this for a second. Then, in a flash, she was over by Lark. She kicked him in the face and picked him up by the hair and threw him against the wall. She pinned him against the wall. Sorry, buddy. I'm just trying to make a living.

Onyx: I nodded, "Not a big one though. I do a few drugs." I told her. Mae: I laughed at the man. I pulled out my gun as well and pointed it back at him then saw the girl kick Lark in the face and turned my gun at her, shooting her in the leg, then pointed it back at Lucifer, "It wasn't his fault your brother overdosed, that's your brother's own fault. Lark, here, was just trying to make a living like us all and there is much worse filth than him out there." I stared at him when a blank expression.

Aria Redde "Ah, I see," I mumbled quietly, looking away. I smiled for a second, then looked back at him. "I'm not really into drugs. I guess... I dunno. They just never seemed appealing to me." -- Lucifer Chandlure I gritted my teeth together, glaring at the girl who had broken in through the window. "If he hadn't persuaded my brother to buy the drugs, we wouldn't even be in this mess!" I shot the gun at her a few times, managing to get her in the arm, although most of the bullets missed due to my unstable thinking. So many thoughts were swirling around me, it was so overwhelming it almost made me want to laugh. ... Was this what insanity felt like? -- Lark Ernest I tried to throw the girl off me, but I was still rather weak from the blood loss. Struggling, I managed to kick her off of me. "Sorry, buddy, I'm just trying to stay alive," I mimicked her, using an annoying high-pitched tone. I grabbed a shard of glass, to protect myself.
