Carter stopped when she did and took a step back, seeing the look in her eyes that reminded him of Elizabeth when she was about to hurt him. He put his hands up as if told to by the police, "Easy...Easy.." he mumbled before she spoke. Mia then answered him and lost her threatening stance. "Oh...I'm very sorry, Mia, please accept my apologizes. My sister and I live here in this little cul-de-sac...You'd be more than welcome to stay with us...?" Lizzy would surely kill him if she would have been here.

Mia: *seeing him get, well, startled she learnt that he wasn't a threat to her.* I'm sorry. I'm not good with people. I have "trust issues." *She said jokingly, although she was quite serious. She then dropped the tone, and just spoke normally,* you did nothing wrong, so there is no reason for you to be sorry. *she shook her head.* oh, I couldn't do that. I don't want to impose.

"Oh..Well, you can't really trust anyone nowadays. But I'm not part of the malitia, see?" Carter said pulling up his sleeve and showing her his wrist that would have had a M scar melted into his skin. But his wrist was blank. "See? No brand. My sister I'm sure would be fine with it, and it's not safe being out here alone." He smiled at her, genuinely wanting her to be safe. | | Elizabeth got out Hiddles and bridled him, wanting to go bareback. Since Loverboy was out making new friends, she wanted to have some time to herself. Just her and her horse. "Hey there, lovely," she said softly, patting the horse's sleek neck. She then climbed on top of a hay bale, swung a leg over his back and settled herself upon the horse, firmly holding the leathery reins. With a click, Hiddles lurched forward and went out of the gate, in which Lizabeth closed on the way out.

Mia: *she peered at his wrist to make sure. She wouldn't fall for any tricks. The militia has taken touch from her. But, his wrist was clear, so he was fine. well, at least with that. He seemed nice enough, but looks can be deceiving.* are you sure? You barely even know me...

"Well...True..But you don't look to be like the killing innocent people type..so, err, why not?" Carter said with a shrug and a smile. "Lizzy's probably off with Hiddles, her, uh, horse, so you don't have to worry about her right now." | | Elizabeth walked Hiddles to the fields, now acquiring her bow and a quiver of arrows. Men were still working, and Hiddles' ears twisted to their sounds.

Mia: *smiles at him.* thank you. I try my hardest to not look... Killy. *she laughs, then looks nervous.* Should I be worried about her? I mean, if she's related to you she's got to be okay.

Dimitri: *he wiped some sweat off his forehead as he looked up to see Elizabeth.*

Carter chuckled then let it die off before speaking again. "No..Not 'worried'. She's just..not so much the people person. But don't take it personally. That's just Liz. C'mon, let us walk back to the house, m'lady," he said smiling and offering her his arm. | | Hiddles stopped abruptly in the talk grass, rearing on his back hooves slightly and tossing his head. Elizabeth leaned forward, hugging his neck as he did so. "What is it, Hiddles?" She hand't noticed Dimitri until now, she was too busy enjoying the scenery to notice him. "Oh..Hello.. I'm sorry I didn't see you.." she said quietly, looking down at him.

Dimitri: My apologies. *he said as he looked at her. He felt bad for scaring her horse. He had been working, and didn't think about how the horse would react. He smiles slightly.* Hello to you too; and it's no problem. It was my fault entirely. I'm Dimitri Belikov by the way.

Mia: *her smile wides as he laughs.* oh, okay then. I'm sure I'll be fine then. *she laughs as she takes his arm.* why thank you good sir, *she joked, making her voice sound British.* lead the way.

Elizabeth smiled, looking down at her hands that were still holding the reins to Hiddles. "No, really it was mine. I wasn't paying attention..But hello there Mr. Belikov. I'm Elizabeth Renn and this is Hiddles, whom I'm sure is greatly sorry for almost prancing all over you." She usually wasn't this friendly or open around anyone except Carter. "It's nice to meet you." | | Carter smiled and led her back to their house..like a sir. They passed by Nikita which noticed this new creature around her owner. Her ears perked and she whinnied to them. "Hey there, Nikita," Carter waved to the horse. "That's my horse," he said leaning back to Mia. "As stubborn as you can imagine.."

Dimitri: it's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Renn, and Hiddles; and please, call me Dimitri. Mr. Belikov is... *he stopped talking, realizing he couldn't compete that joke like most people. His father never married his mother, thankfully, so other than him there was no mr. Belikov. Instead of finishing he just smiled and said,* just call me Dimitri, please.

Mia: Hello, Nikita. *she called out to the horse. She could t believe that she was just joking and hanging out with this guy. Even before her parents were killed, she was very shy. And now since they were dead... She trusted very few people. Apperently this guy was one she did trust. She hoped that he deserved it.*

"Will do, Dimitri," Elizabeth said smiling. She then slid off the tall horse's back and landed in front of Dimitri. "You have an accent I hear...I don't recognize it..." Truly she didn't. The only accent she'd ever heard was one called "British". Hiddles laid his chin on her shoulder. | | Carter smiled, leading her over to the fence where Nikita had her head and neck over, eager for him to come closer. Her unusual blue eyes watched the new girl carefully. "Nikita, this is Mia. Mia, Nikita." Nikita stretched out her neck, her nostrils flaring as she smelled Mia. Suddenly her lips drew back and her teeth tried to close around something of Mia's. But Carter quickly stopped the show on that one. He thumped her nose, "No, be nice!" The mare tossed her head and went and trotted in a circle before coming back to the fence. "...Sorry about her..she's not used to strangers.."

Dimitri: thank you. *he watched her slide off the horse, and looks down at her as she stood infront of him. He was tall, standing at 6 foot seven inches.* I'm from Russia. My family is still there, sadly. Haven't seen them since the black out.

Mia: *yelped and jumped backwards, away from the horse. Her eyes were wide with fear. Fighting people, she could handle that; but animals. Not so much. She breathed heavily.* it's fine. *she said, trying to compose herself.*

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.." Elizabeth said solemnly, fixing her bow that was strung across her body. My goodness how tall he was. She felt so small compared to him, being only 5'4 and petite. "So, um," she looked around then back at him, "you work out here?" | | Carter glared at his horse. "Bad girl, very bad girl!" he scolded. He then turned Mia around, standing in between her and Nikita then leading her back to the house. "Are you hungry?" he asked once they got inside the house.

Dimitri: I hope to go back some day, though I doubt I will. *he attempts to get a strand of his hair back into the short ponytail he had, but it didn't work. There always seemed to be a strand or two that fell out.* so, you from around here, or did you just come after the blackout for safety?

Mia: *she followed him away from the horse and into the house.* oh, I'm fine. I can get my own food, I don't want to eat all yours. I'm already staying in your lovely home. *she then looked around the house. It was very nice, something she thought she's never have again. Well, at least not anytime soon.*
