Darius Sharoll

He had gone home, retiring to his bed in the house he lived in. It wasn't a large house, as he lived alone. It was a bit of a small house, with only a kitchen, five rooms downstairs, and three rooms upstairs. if anybody were to walk into the house, it'd be clear to them that the house desperately needed cleaning. Spider webs and cobwebs had settled themselves in the corners of the walls, underneath the stairs, and on the legs of chairs. It was utterly dusty in there, and open books were everywhere. Piles and piles of open books were on his desks, some of the books falling off and making a mound of forgotten books on the ground. If somebody with OCD were to walk into Darius's house, they'd have a heart attack.

Darius had simply gone to sleep, ignoring all the messes and books and dust, muttering to himself, "I'll do it tomorrow", as he always said but never did. He didn't bother to stay awake and keep watch. It was just him in the house. He was a very light sleeper, in addition to that. But an Underworlder hadn't found its way into his house just yet, so he could sleep comfortably.

Aurora woke up in the middle of the night, hearing something outside of her room. She picked up her blade and went to check it out. She opened her door slowly, ready to fight anything in an instant. There was a reptile thing, sniffing around the floor, unaware of Aurora. It had a snout like a crocodiles, big bulging eyes, long deadly claws, a short body, and a long tail, dripping with venom. It made growling noises and Aurora knew in a second that it was a demon. Take her blade, she lunged at the demon, hitting its protected side skin. It didn't kill or even go into the demon side. The demon turned, hissed, and lunged. Aurora jumped back in time for the claws to barely miss her, but they tore her dress. She fought the demon, but it jumped on her and dug its claws into her shoulders and thighs. She let out a cry of pain as it pierced her with its tail. Suddenly, it stopped and black blood squirted onto Aurora as the demon's head rolled away, the claws loosened, and the demons body fell to the side. Aurora lay still, paralyzed by the venom, about to pass out. Henry stood there with Charlotte and Matthew in Charlotte's arms. Henry scooped Aurora up, dropping thswelled he had in his hands. "We need the Silent Brothers." He said quickly. Charlotte nodded and Matthew started crying. Charlotte soothed him as they all ran outside, Henry still holding a now passed out Aurora. They didn't have a carriage to take Aurora in, so this would be very difficult, getting to the Silent Brothers, who were probably the only ones who could save Aurora.

Dimitri: *he had been to far away from Aurora to have heard the fight. He continued to guard the building that he, mason, and Eddie were in.*

Aurora let out an unhuman sounding groan of pain. Henry kept a tight hold of her. Charlotte kept ahold of Matthew closely, looking at Aurora fearfully. Aurora's body felt like it was on fire. They raced faster down the street, their steps echoing up and down the street.

Charlotte saw three dark shapes and stopped. Henry stood in front of his wife protectively. Charlotte then saw that it was the three men who had walked Aurora home. Dimitri, Mason, and Eddie. She went forward quickly, setting Matthew down next to his father. Henry tried to pull her back but she was already racing forward to meet the three. "Do you three have a carriage? Or even a horse?" She asked quickly, her eyes wide with fear.

Mason: what happened? *he asked, his voice full of worry as he looks from Charlotte to the other three, then back at her.*

Charlotte put a hand on her stomach. A demon attack in the middle of the night. Aurora awokeand attacked it. It poisioned Aurora and clawed her up pretty badly. She looked at Aurora fearfully. Aurora let out a soft moan of pain, and Henry looked at Charlotte. We should've left her at the house, and brought the Silent Brothers to her. Henry said. Charlotte nodded in agreement. Henry set Aurora down gently. When the horse comes, I'll go and alert the Silent Brothers to know what has happened. All of you stay here. I'll come back with one of them. He said sternly. Matthew went over to Aurora and sat down next to her.

Charlotte nodded. Henry took the reigns and kissed Charlotte quickly and gave Matthew a quick hug. He jumped onto the horse. "I'll be back soon." Charlotte nodded and bent down next to Aurora and set her head in her lap and stroke some hair out of her face. Aurora was deathly still, barely breathing now. Charlotte watched as Henry rode off out of sight. Matthew curled up next to his mother and Autora

Charlotte shook her head. "It's fine. You have already done enough to help us." She said kindly, keeping watch of Aurora's breathing. Matthew shrugged. "Mommy used to be a Shadowhunter." He said, looking at Charlotte.

Dimitri: are you sure? *he asked her, then looked down at the boy. That was his weakness. Children. He loved them, and had always wanted some, but it wasn't practical. Not with his job. Same with getting married, or even falling in love. He could die at any moment, he couldn't cause some women the pain of him dying. His children growing up without a father. The closest he's come to children is his sisters kids.* oh, was she? *he asked, a smile on his face.*

Charlotte nodded. Matthew looked up at him and nodded. "Yeah. Then, after I was born, she stopped." He said, curling up into his mother's side and reaching across to put a hand on Aurora's head. A few minutes later, the horse and Henry came riding back. Henry jumped down. "Brother Enoch will be here soon. He's coming through a portal." As if on cue, a few feet away, a portal opened and out came a man in a black robe, a hood covering his face. He walked slowly over to Aurora. He bent down and slid off the hood covering his face. Where his eyes should of been were empty black pits. His mouth was stitched up, and his face was deathly white. Brother Enoch lifted Aurora's head off of Charlotte's lap and set it on the ground. He began working on Aurora, leaving a hand on her face and another one on her arm. He seemed to be concentrating hard. Soon, Aurora's breathing became steadier, and she groaned in pain.

Dimitri: that makes sence. *he told the boy. He then looked up as he heard horse hooves coming towards them, ready to fight the person if they are unfriendly, but relaxes when he sees who it was. When the new man, Brother Enoch apperently, he took a step back, as did Mason and Eddie, to give him space. He was shocked when he saw the man's face, but he didn't show it. Neither did Mason or Eddie, even though they were shocked as well.*

Aurora's eyelids fluttered, but didn't opened. She seemed to be breathing better now. Brother Enoch stood up and "spoke" although he didn't move his sewn up lips. Instead, he spoke through their minds, making his chilling voice enter their brain as if one of their own thoughts. Of course, they knew it was him talking though. She needs to go somewhere to rest. I'll stay with you until further notice, in case she needs more healing. But us Silent Brothers can only do so much. He said, and turned, beginning to walk away towards Charlotte and Henry's house. He made no sound at all. Not even his robes made a rustling noise.

Matthew stood up and walked next to brother Enoch as they walked down the street. Charlotte stood up with the help of Henry and looked at the three boys. "If you would like, you can come with us." She said. Henry made a face and picked up Aurora. Charlotte started walking away towards Matthew, a hand on her stomach.
