"There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing. I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."- Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

"Curious. Your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack. Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabbling pirates can defeat the Flying Dutchman. And so despair leads to betrayal. And you and I are no strangers to betrayal, are we, Jack? [Jack, who has been looking through various containers, stops and glances at a P mark on his arm] [turning to face Jack] It's not here, Jack. What? What isn't? The Heart of Davy Jones is safely aboard the Dutchman, and so unavailable for use as leverage to satisfy your debt to the good Captain. By my reckoning, that debt has been settled. By your death... yet here you are. Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by."- Lord Cutler Beckett and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

"Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like you to note it-hearing now-that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, and be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" want to go once they pop their clogs. Savvy? We have a word for that, Jack. You can convert. I was thinking more of an as-needed basis."- Jack Sparrow and Philip Swift, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Aurora smiled. "I did too." She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and headed inside.

Aurora walke inside. Brother Enoch was gone. She walked down the hall and stopped when she saw something red along the wall. Blood. She stopped, frozen, and then screamed, "Charlotte! Henry! Matthew!" She ran to Charlotte and Henry's room and threw open the door. She half screamed half sobbed when she saw blood all of their bed that contained their bodies. She ran over to them and shook ther bodies, getting blood on her hands.

Aurora was sitting on the floor at the end of the bed, blood on her hands and dress. She was crying with her knees brought up to her chest. She was gently rocking back and forth, shaking her head. "Charlotte, Henry, Matthew." She mumbled in between sobs.

Brother Enoch walked into the room, looking about as shocked as a man with no eyes and a sewed mouth could. "I went out looking for you." He said, speaking in their minds. Aurora buried her face in Mason's neck, tears still rolling down her face. "Where's Matthew?" Brother Enoch asked. "I figured he was in his room, like Charlotte and Henry," She said, her voice shaky. "So I didn't check. I didn't want to. . ." She said and started sobbing again. A small voice called from the doorway. "Rora?" Aurora shot up and looked at a scared Matthew. She ran over and picked him up and hugged him closely.

Matthew looked at the bed. "Mommy? Daddy?" Aurora shook her head and forced his face away from the bed. "Brother Enoch, take him." She said softly. Brother Enoch nodded and Aurora sat him down. He walked out with Brother Enoch. Aurora stared at the bodies then looked away. "The head of the Shadowhunter institute, Gordon, will arrange their funerals. Brother Enoch will inform him immediately."

Aurora looked at him. "I'm a Shadowhunter. I've grown up with death all my life. I'll make it." She said softly and went over to Henry and Charlotte. She examined their necks, which were how they were killed. "A demon wouldn't have done this. The cut. . . It's from a knife. Demons wouldn't typically use knives. And then, they were stabbed. . . Again in the heart." She said, her voice shaking slightly. She closed her eyes for a moment then opened them. "I should probably go to the institute. Will you come with me?"

Aurora nodded and went to her room and cleaned herself up, putting on a new dress and washing the blood off her body. She went into the living room and picked up Matthew. Brother Enoch, I'm going to take Matthew to the institute. Mason is escorting me. The other two are staying here. Brother Enoch nodded. I must go to the Silent City and inform the other brothers of what has happened. We will have someone come and clean up before you get home. Aurora nodded and looked at Matthew, who was asleep on her shoulder. I'll be back soon.

Will nodded. I love reading.

Aurora walked out the door with the two boys. She walked silently thinking. Matthew stirred in her arms. "Rora, Brother Enoch said that Mommy and Daddy left. He said that they weren't going to come back. But I saw them, in their bed. Was Brother Enoch lying?" He asked, half asleep. Aurora shook her head. "No, Brother Enoch doesn't lie, Matthew. Charlotte and Henry went to live with the Angel. They aren't coming back." Matthew started to sound whiney. "But why?" Aurora sighed. "Because they had to. They didn't want to." She said quietly. "Now, go back to sleep." Matthew made a sound of protest but soon enough fell back asleep.
