Story 

The year is 1878, so there is no technology, cars, and slang language. Woman wear dresses usually, and men wear waistcoats, shirts with collars, overcoats, and garricks. Now, lets move onto the Shadowhunters. Shadowhunters, or Nephilim, are a secretive race of humans born with angelic blood. They are a demon hunting race that has survived for over one thousand years. They have fought the demons valiantly, creating their own culture and civilization. Their mandate is to protect humans. Most die young, at the age of 20-30, but the more skilled ones stay alive, for obvious reasons. Shadowhunters can be either male or female, but usually male. As I said before, they kill demons who make trouble, and they arrest or kill Downworlders(Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks, witches, etc.) who also cause trouble. The world of a shadowhunter is tough, dangerous, and usually fatal. You are born with it, and you are raised at a young age to kill demons and protect humans. You can use glamour to hide special Nephilim buildings and yourself from mundanes(humans). Will you make it out alive?

Summary 

So, basically, you are a shadowhunter, human, or Downworlder. You can be any of these three things, but not demons, because demons are typically gross monsters who can't talk right. If you are a shadowhunter, you have dedicated your life to kill demons and protect the Accords, the Shadowhunter's law. If you are human, you don't typically know about Shadowhunters, but you can find out. If you're a Downworlder, you have to be a good boy/girl, or you might get arrested or killed by Shadowhunters. 

Terms

Nephilim/Shadowhunters- 

Nephilim, often referred to as Shadowhunters, are a secretive race of humans born with angelic blood. They are a demon hunting race that has survived for over one thousand years. They have fought the demons valiantly, creating their own culture and civilization. Their mandate is to protect humans.

Witchlight-

A magical stone that lights up when touched by a Shadowhunter. Usually used as a flashlight, or to light up Shadowhunter places. 

Mundanes-

The Shadowhunter word for human.

Downworlders-

Vampire, werewolves, witches, warlocks, etc. Anything with a power and isn't human and not a Shadowhunter. 

Idris-

Idris is the homeland of the Shadowhunters and is protected by Demon Towers, forcing demons out and protecting the city, the only way to bring them down is to wipe demon blood on them from the inside—an almost impossible feat. Idris is in Europe. It is a small country between Germany and France, with protective spells and wardings all around, all over the borders, preventing mundanes from entering. When they attempt to cross the border into Idris, they are simply transported into the next border without noticing. Idris is mostly forest, littered with vampire nests and werewolf packs. There are mountains that can only be crossed in high summer without freezing to death. There is a small system of towns throughout Idris. These towns are not very big and are all sort of oriented around the one city, Alicante, which is also known as the City of Glass.

Alicante-

Alicante is the only city in Idris. It is often called the Glass City because of the presence of the Demon Towers that guard the city against demon attacks, reflecting light and looking like glass. The entire city is lit and powered by witchlight. The houses throughout the city are built from all eras. The Gard, the meeting place for the Clave, sits atop a hill at the edge of the city. There are stores throughout the entire city that display and sell a wide array of objects from weapons to clothes.

Clave-

The Clave is the term for the entire Shadowhunter government. The Clave consists of all Shadowhunters from all over the world that have sworn oaths of loyalty to the Covanent. All Shadowhunters born are members of the Clave when they begin training.

Consul-

The Consul is a high ranking member of the Clave. He/She is given the job of advising the Council. He is the one that names the Inquisitor when the previous dies. Also, he names the heads of the Institutes when a new one is needed. He oversees trials held by the Council and gives his reccomendation for a punishment.

Inquisitor-

The Inquisitor is the interrogator of Shadowhunters. He/She is the only one, other then the silent brothers, that can wield the Mortal Sword, forcing Shadowhunters to tell the truth.

Council-

The Council is the Shadowhunter congress. It consists of Shadowhunters from all over the world. They make the laws that all Shadowhunters follow.

Enclave/Conclave-

The Enclave is the Shadowhunter population of a certain area. They are led by the Directors of an Institute. Every active Shadowhunter in an area belongs to a certain Enclave (Conclave in New York) and the Shadowhunters are all under the command of their Institute.

Institutes-

Institutes are the seats of power in the Enclave/Conclave. The directors of an Institute are the most powerful figures in the given area's Shadowhunter population.

Colors-

"Black for hunting through the night

For death and sorrow, the color’s white.

Gold for a bride in her wedding gown,

And red to call enchantment down."

Colors mean different things to Shadowhunters than they do to mundanes. Black is the color of their gear; white is for mourning; gold for weddings and red is ceremonial.

Rules

• Cussing is fine. Just don't over do it. 
• Easy with the sexual details. Blood and gore details are fine. 
• Make loooooooooots of drama, just don't hog all the attention to yourself though.
• No slang, electicity, cars, etc. This RP is based in the late 1800's. 
• No Powerplaying
• No God Modeling
• You can be anything but a demon. That means as a downworlder, you can just have a special power, like being able to change your appearence, being able to fly, etc. 
• Vampires do get torched by the sunlight, and they also can turn into bats and rats. 
• Werewolves shift on the full moon, or whenever they want.
• No fighting OOC
• Anime/Description/Real pictures are fine

Dimitri, Mason and Eddie: *they walk down a deserted street. Mason and Eddie were laughing at a joke Mason had told, while Dimitri was silent. He wouldn't- he couldn't- relax like the other two. He was to alert.*
