Emilee saw the shadow of one of the people coming closer to the door. She suddenly punched them in the face, followed by an elbow to the side of the head, which in turn was enough to knock him out. Onward to the next guy who thought they could take her on, but she kept a close eye Clint and his bow, knowing he was very skilled in archery and could end her with one swift arrow. This man was clearly one who did not know how to fight, so went down easily. "Clint!" her voice rang out just as she had kicked someone in the face. "You.." Another punch was thrown, followed by twisting someone's arm and eventually breaking it. "You have to snap out of it!"

Loki looked off to the sound of that man groaning in pain and clenching his chest. He smiled then looked back at Caroline. "Why yes. Though maybe not destroy it. If there is no hope in this wasteland, then yes, I'll destroy it. But I'm mainly looking in ruling it."

Clint pulled the arrow back and aimed. This isn't good. If I release this it could kill her! She has a chance of getting out of the way but it's unlikely. One of the men shouted at him to attack her and he shook his head, his vision seeing double and it seemed like his ears were plugged. Well this isn't pleasant. Clint looked at Emmy and released the arrow so it missed her, making sure it was off aim. "You should leave." He groaned as he leaned against the wall.

"Oh, well alright then." Caroline said with a smile. "So if you're busy with planning on how to take over the earth, why attend this ball?" Caroline noticed the man and figured it was something he ate that simply wasn't agreeing with him, then back to Loki, she admitted she missed the small talk Loki and her would have every once in a while, such as when she was polishing Thor's armor and such.

Emilee stunned the last guy long enough for her to get over to Clint. "Clint," she said looking at him intently, slightly pulling on his arm, "We have to leave! You need to snap out of it!" He wasn't looking at her. She gently placed a hand on the side of his face, moving it so he was looking directly at her. Her facial expression was soft and gentle, and her eyes pleaded without words for him to come with her. "Clint..." she said in a hushed tone. 

Loki shrugged, "I need a certain something from someone here, so I'm just wasting as much time as I can, enjoying this..ball. Quite interesting these humans are. ...So oblivious to everything around them." He looked around at all the fancy rich people talking and holding their glasses filled partly with their drinks, then rest his emerald graze back on Caroline.

Clint blinked several times, he found it hard to speak, it was like he lost his voice. "Alright." He stood up and began stumbling out, leaning on the wall as he did his best to try and walk forward, his double vision blurring, he felt like he was going to be sick. I really hope this means I'm gaining control and now some sort of permanant side effect I'm going to have to deal with.

"What is it you're looking for? Maybe I could help?" Caroline saw the man with the heart problem fall over and cuss at her, accusing her of slipping something in his drink. "Oh no, I should help him! He looks ill!"

Emilee held him up the best she could as she guided him toward the door. She didn't worry about her shoes, since they rather hurt her feet and were loud. She wondered how she would be able to lift this curse Loki had on him. Maybe a good knock to the head would clear his mind. "Clint..Are you hurt in anyway, physically?" she asked, wanting to know if there were any wounds she needed to tend to before going on. 

Loki shook his head, "It's nothing you can help with, really." His eyes then flickered to the man he had cursed with heart troubles. Grasping the cepter again, the man was lifted of his pain. "I don't think that's necessary. He seems to be fine now," he said smiling.

Clint shook his head. "Well, hand. Punched computer button, not serious." He didn't bother using proper grammar, he was more worried about passing out. He got to where the ball was going on and looked down at it from the top of the stairs. He sat against the wall. "Do you see Loki?" He asked, wondering what the best way out of the building would be.

Caroline looked at Loki. Did he do that? Caroline nodded. "Okay-" Caroline's boss walked up to her, questioning her about whether or not she slipped something into his drink. "No sir! I have no brawl with him whatsoever." The man scoffed, saying it was because he accidentally ran into her. These mortals are jumping to conclusions rather quickly.

Emilee laughed a little, "Okay then.." She then straightened up as they got to the top of the stairs, trying to look presentable. Her brown eyes scanned the ballroom seeing Loki speaking with a server. "He's thoroughly distracted," she reported in a whisper. "How do you suppose we get out of here?" What a stupid question. Asking a mentally unstable person how to get out of a situation. Nice. Em kept an arm around his waist, and the other holding onto his arm, keeping him standing. 

Loki looked at the man that came up to Caroline, watching him curiously. He eyed him until he left. "Humans.." he mumbled shaking his head. It was then he decided he needed to acquire what he came here to do. He needed iridium. Something that would stabilize the Tesssract's powers. To do this he needed to get into a special room. And so not having any access to it, he needs something from someone who does. 

Clint looked at Emmy, 2 other effects coming in, dellusions and foolish ideas. "We could fly!" He said, it seemed perfect to him, and he had the delusion that he had hawk wings. "Just find me an open window and I'll fly out!" He didn't realize what a poor idea it was, the dellusions were incredibly real to him. "First we should tell Loki he lost and we won though!" He opened his mouth to shout at Loki, the effects almost were wearing off completely.

Caroline saw Loki looking for something. What is he looking for? A person perhaps? Caroline looked around and noticed Clint and Emmy, noticing Clint had his mouth open and ready to scream at Loki. Oh no! They may get caught! Caroline did like helping Loki out, but she didn't want earth to be ruled or destroyed, and Clint was about to make that easier.

Emilee tried not to laugh at his foolish ideas. "That would be very convenient..Clint, no!" she clasped a hand over his mouth, preventing him from shouting out at Loki, or at least muffling it somewhat. "No, no no no! We have got to go..!" She then pulled him along with her as she went down the stairs, pushing past people in a desperate attempt to quickly get out of there. 

Loki noticed Caroline looking at something, then looked over his shoulder at the top of the stairs. His eyes widened in disbelief at what he saw. Hawkeye and some girl! The girl looking more like she was saving him and trying to take him away. His jaw muscles tightened and his grip on the cepter did as well. He then uncovered the blue sphere, letting it shine for all to see. "No!" he exclaimed, casting a blue lazed-type beam into the pillar closet to the fleeing couple. The pillar cracked and shook, until it began to crumble down. All the people in the ballroom went into a state of panic.

Clint looked at Loki. "WE. WIN!" He shouted, raising his bow and arrow up and stepping forward. "Wait. No one panick! I will get away safely with my wings, do not worry, and as for all of you-" He pointed at Caroline. "-the distracter shall save you some way!" He looked at Emmy. "Come on, we have to run, I'm not sure if I can actually fly!" He stumbled forward but no longer needed a wall for balance, and began to realize what a bad idea he had had, the effects almost completely gone.

Caroline hoped Loki hadn't heard what Clint had said, there was pretty much no way he hadn't with how loud he had yelled, but she still hoped, with how Clint called her a distracter it made her look like she was part of the plan of helping him escape, and she didn't want to be on Loki's bad side.

Emilee covered her face with her hands as some people looked over at them as Clint was talking. She let go of him, but really didn't want to. "We have to go, now!" Em ordered, pulling on his arm. "You better hope Loki didn't hear you!" They were pretty much swept away with the current of people, right out the doors. She kept a firm grip on his arm, not wanting to lose him in the crowd. 

Loki turned around to Caroline, his eyes wild with fire and anger. "Did you have anything to do with this?!" he shouted over the screams of terrified people. He grabbed her and pulled her closer to him, "Did you?!" 

Clint walked as quickly as he could outside then realized he could jog, even if he didn't jog straight. "Come on, we should go behind buildings just in case Loki searches the group of people, he probably won't but just in case." Clint looked at Emmy. "Wait, does that sound like sane to you? I can't tell if it's good or not." It seemed like one, then again the flying one seemed like one as well.

Caroline shook her head scared. "No, I swear I didn't! I only saw them escaping when you did!" Caroline glanced at Loki's scepter then back to him, realizing she'd be defenseless if he mind controlled her, the power to do such a thing was rather simple for him it seemed to her.

Emilee nodded, following him wherever he went now. She thought about what he said, then realized it was logical and not foolish like his flying idea. "Yeah! It's completely sane! I think you're back, Clint!" she exclaimed grinning. 

Loki released her but then grabbed her arm again once he got an idea. He pulled her with him until they were outside, and even then he didn't let go. "Where do you think they went?" he asked sternly, looking around then finally at her. 

Clint smiled. "Now if only my legs would run faster!" He ran behind the buildings and cussed when he fell over. "Dang rock!" He growled, then realized he had tripped over a flat surface. "Oh well that's just great." He stood up and realized he had twisted his ankle. "Well, that's going to hurt like heck later." He huffed before continuing to run with a limp. I'm still not use to having free will, if Loki realizes where we went he may be able to catch up with us with how long it's taking me to run. "If Loki catches up to us run as fast as you can, even if it's faster than me."

Caroline felt relieved he believed her. "I'm not sure, outside somewhere. Maybe in the crowd of people? Or with Clint's condition maybe their resting somewhere fairly safe?" Caroline hoped Loki and her wouldn't find them, but didn't know if she'd be that lucky.

(Oh lord, I'm about to fall asleep xD Last post for tonight) 

Emmy had no shoes whatsoever. "Try running without shoes!" she said while laughing, he then tripped and fell over...nothing. "Oh my gosh..." she said in a 'really? Are you serious?' tone. Helping him up, she looked down at his ankle, "Well you're just getting all beat up today aren't ya'?" They continued on running, occasionally she would glance over at him only when he spoke, otherwise she kept looking forward, jumping over things that could potentially hurt her bare feet. "Wha-No! I'm not leaving without you again!" she said in disbelief. 

Loki nodded looking around at everyone. There was no sign of them anywhere. "I'm going to kill that girl the next time I see her..." he mumbled to himself, as if giving himself a personal side note on what to do later. "That fool can't go far. Especially with her, since she hadn't any shoes... C'mon..they've got to be around here somewhere." He had let go of her arm, and now trusted her to willingly follow him. Though if she didn't he'd make her anyways. He went searching through the crowds of people that were cowering behind the police that had shown up.
