"Mm? My book?" He lifted up the book, looking at the cover. He had never really read the title. "It's called... ... 'Timor'. I believe timor means fear in Latin." Clydell almost smiled. "What a fitting name... This is a horror story. It tells the tale of a very tall man who wears all black and feeds off of the souls of the juvenile."

The Tiger let out a sigh. "It's an old tale, dating from the 1700's... But, it's truly interesting." He glanced over at Antoinette. "... Do you like reading?"

Antoinette nodded and looked at it. "It sounds interesting. And yes I do love reading. It's like escaping into another world." She said softly, looking at the book.

"That's exactly how I feel about books." He then noticed she was still looking at the book. He held it out. "Do you want to borrow it for a while? I've finished reading it, I'm simply rereading it. It's extremely well-written, you probably wouldn't regret reading it."

Clydell shrugged one shoulder. "But it's up to you whether you want to read it or not. It's pretty detailed when it comes to gore, and its nature is very dark. So don't say I didn't warn you."

Antoinette took it delicately, as if it might fall apart. She held it in her hands and looked at it, and then at him. "Thanks. And that's fine. I usually read stuff like that anyways. I'm used to gore, blood, killing things like that." She said. She traced her fingers over the cover lightly.

He nodded when she thanked him, then almost laughed at her second sentence. "Is that so?" he asked, a small smile of amusement coming onto his face. "You don't seem like the type to read that genre of books." Clydell scoffed at how amused he had become, brushing some of his black hair out of his emerald and platinum eyes. "Well, the world is full of surprises, isn't it?

He then allowed his amused smile to fade. "Well, have fun reading it. It's a truly interesting story."

Antoinette smiled and looked through the book, gently flipping through the pages. She looked back up at him. "You should smile more often." She said softly, and blushed a little. She looked back down at the book.

When she mentioned smiling more often, a small blush came onto his face. Just the hint of one.

"R-... ... You think so?" He looked away from Antoinette, scratching the back of his head nervously. "A-ahm... ... Thanks, I guess. I-I mean, uh, I've always found smiling pointless. Why is it necessary to show your happiness to others? And... ... A smile makes you stand out more." Clydell slowly went back to his cold, collected self, the light pink color disappearing from his face.

"But," he continued, glancing over at Antoinette. "A smile looks good on you. ... I guess." The pink came back to his face, contrasting with his naturally pale skin.

Antoinette blushed and looked down, wringing her fingers together. "Thanks. And it's not bad to show that your happy." ((Sorry for the fail post but I gotta go. BRB.))

"... Sometimes, it is," he replied, his voice coming out in a mere whisper. Clydell looked away once more.

"Don't laugh at me when I say this," he uttered quietly, glancing down at the floor. "But... ... I've forgotten how to smile like I'm happy." The next words spilled out of his mouth quickly. "I know, it sounds stupid, but... It's true. Now whenever I smile, it's not an automatic thing. It's a 'I think right now would be a good time to smile, okay I'll do it' kind of thing." Clydell scoffed at himself. "... It sounds pathetic, I know..."

Antoinette looked at him and shook her head. "It doesn't sound stupid. I know what you mean." She said softly. "Never actually feeling happy, just faking it so other people won't notice."

Winter kept ahold of his arm as they walked out of the house and to the gate. She looked up at him, "I don't know.." she replied. "What is there to do?" She didn't know. She hadn't been out in awhile. Which was rather sad, considering she was actually quote the curious, adventurous person.

He let out a short nod. "Exactly," he sighed, putting his elbow on the arm of the couch, resting his chin on his palm. "To blend in, one must smile every now and then. So I do smile, it's just a show, though. There's no expression behind my smiles."

Clydell shook his head, taking his hand away from his face and sitting up straight. "But I suppose I'm just sounding... ... Emo right now. Sorry for saying so much." He felt kind of embarrassed, in a way, that he had spilled so much information about him to Antoinette. What made him do it? Perhaps it was the fact that he knew what she had gone through in life?

Marcel thought. "We can go out to eat, shop, see a movie, anything really." He said with a shrug. // Antoinette looked at her arms and then her thighs. "You don't sound emo." She said softly. "And it's okay. For some reason, it feels good talking to you about this."

A small smile appeared on his lips, as he looked over at Antoinette. "It feels... Good talking about this, too," he replied, before letting out a small sigh. He remembered the questions he had asked earlier. Antoinette liked the evening, owls, and the forest. She was also okay with cats.

"So," he said, looking back at the ceiling. "... Tell me a little bit about yourself." He noticed some light- just a little bit- was sneaking its way into the room. He was assuming it was early morning, past midnight. Had he really stayed up for that long?

The sight was breathtaking. The petite girl let out a small "Woah" at the bottom of her breath, trying to take in the entire image. The water was gorgeous, creating a nice mirror that reflected the oranges and the yellows, making what looked like a tango of colors.

"It's... ... ...  Oh my gosh... ... It's beautiful!" she breathed, getting off of Rick and taking a few steps forward. "It looks like something you'd find in an art gallery..." She spun around in a small circle, a wide smile on her face. "Rick, this is absolutely amazing! How'd you find this place?"

Antoinette thought. "Well, you know most about my past. My Zodiac animal is the dog." She thought some more. "I used to be happy, I used to have tons of friends. My parents were also part of the Zodiac. My dad was the ox and my mom was the cat. Not a tiger, a cat." She smiled softly. "It's rare for someone to become the Zodiac Cat, because technically he's not part of the Zodiac. But it happens sometimes. Not often though. There's an old story that goes along with it. Would you like to hear it?" She asked softly.

(( Just a small question for you, V-For-Vendetta... ... Did the inspiration for this roleplay come from Fruits Basket, by any chance? ^-^ ))

Kyrie Rin

"This is... Absolutely amazing!" She smiled, looking over at Rick, forgetting he was naked. "Oh my goodness, it's all so beautiful... ... Thank you for taking me here." Kyrie grinned warmly, looking over at Rick. It was then that she noticed he was naked.

"Woah- Wait, you just changed back, so you're na-na-naked!" A blush quickly came over to her face, as she reached into the purse she always carried around with her. "Here, I always carry some extra shorts, in case I'm wearing a skirt and it happens to get windy..." She pulled out a pair of shorts that went to the knee, then held them out to Rick.

"... Keep the shorts afterwards. I... I don't think I want them back." She let out a small laugh.

He listened. "A... Cat?" Clydell suddenly became immensely interested. "I've read that story once or twice in a picture book when I was younger... But I only remember fragments of the tale. I'd like to hear it."

It seemed so impossible, so utterly impossible for somebody to become a Cat. After all, you didn't go around, seeing cats on the little paper mats at Chinese restaurants. Clydell was still amazed that Antoinette's mother was a cat.

"... I still can't believe you're mother's a Cat," he replied, blinking a few times.

Haha Yeah I love that show, but as you can probably tell I switched some things up a bit.

Antoinette nodded and smiled softly. This is just one of the legends, but okay. She went into the story. A long time ago, the Cat and Mouse were best friends. They did everything together. One day, the Jade Emperor announced that he was going to pick 12 animals to represent the twelve calendar years, and invited all animals to a party. The Cat suggested to the Rat that both of them should make a presence. On the day of the party, the Cat told the Rat, 'I am going to take a nap so that I will be in my top form. Can you please wake me up when it's time to go to the party?' 'No problem.' the Rat replied, 'Just relax and rest. I will wake you up when the time comes.' After the Cat fell asleep, the Rat thought to himself, 'I am among the smallest of all animals and I don't stand a chance in making one of the twelve if the Cat will go.' So when the time came, the Rat left on his own without waking up the Cat, and was elected as one of the twelve Zodiac Animals. When the Cat found out what the Rat had done, he was furious. The two became worst enemies. She finished the story. She knew it by heart. It was the story her mother used to tell her when she was a little girl. She looked at Clydell. Like I said, that's only one of the versions of the story.
