Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette smiled and played with the end of her sleeve. "I think it's kind of cute." She said with a small blush. She turned the channel onto the tv. "It makes you seem less aggressive than you usually are." She went on.

Clydell Gage His blush grew a little more violent when she said it was cute. Well, it was obvious, Clydell was easy to blush. He looked over at Antoinette, with a look that held not hate or anger, but something else... Perhaps, admiration? He looked away, the look turning back into his cold self, as he crossed his arms once more, the blush lingering. "... ... It's not very cute, being afraid of something," he said quietly. "... And I'm not that aggressive, am I?"

Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette shrugged. "You tend to be cold and aggressive sometimes." She looked at him. "But you're not always." She said, wrapping her arms around her legs.

Clydell Gage He raised an eyebrow. "Cold and aggressive?" he questioned, thinking about it. He then let out a small laugh. "Yes, I suppose I can be cold and aggressive..." Clydell almost smiled. Almost. "Well, I'll try to change that, then..." Kyrie RIn She grinned. "A cheesy gent with self-esteem issues?" she asked. "Awweh, you have self-esteem issues?" She walked over and hugged him, then pulled away, a serious look on your face. "Alright, then say this: 'I'm awesome'. Say it."

Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette looked at him, surprised. "You would change the way you act, just because I pointed it out? Why?"

Clydell Gage He looked over at Antoinette. "As much as I love being alone," he started, "I can only do so much by myself. I'm cold and obnoxious because that's what keeps people away from me. Maybe... ... Maybe it's time for me to be a little different." Clydell let out a scoff at his little speech, then glanced over at Antoinette. "Would you like to hang around an obnoxious guy who thinks the entire world is an idiot?"

Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette shrugged. "I do already." She said with a small smile. She looked thoughtful. "Clydell, this is off topic, but do you paint?" She asked curiously.

Clydell Gage He let out a laugh, a real laugh, at her first sentence. After a few seconds, his smile faded away, as usual. "... Paint?" He glanced over at Antoinette, then let out a content sigh, looking up at the ceiling. "Yes, I do," he said quietly. "It's like my getaway from the world. It's what I did when I was younger, and it just kind of stuck with me." Clydell looked back at Antoinette, their eyes meeting. "Why did you ask that?"

Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette thought of the paintings left outside her door. She shrugged. "Just wondering." She looked at him closely. "You should smile and laugh more often." She said softly.

Clydell Gage He leaned his head back against the couch, letting out a sigh. "I would smile and laugh more, but it's a bit challenging for me," he admitted, closing his eyes. "But, hey, if I look like I'm brooding and angry all the time, I could try."

Clydell Gage He looked at Antoinette. "... Well, trying is the spice of life, I suppose," he said, deep in thought. He leaned his head against the couch again. "Hey, what's your favorite type of food?"

Clydell Gage He scratched the back of his head. "Don't laugh at me when I say this, but my favorite food is actually steamed vegetables," he admitted, looking away. "Like, broccoli and sorts. I'm a huge sucker for veggies." He blinked. "Kind of ironic, seeing how I'm a Tiger." Clydell paused. "Hey, uh... ... Wanna go... ... Get something to eat with me?" He was kind of hesitant with his words.
Kyrie Rin "Well, I'm not moving from this spot until you say it!" she huffed, crossing her arms. "Say it. 'I'm awesome'. Say it!"

Antoinette looked at him, wide eyed and surprised. But it quickly disappeared and she nodded her head. Sure. Where do you want to go? Because I'm up to go anywhere.

Clydell Gage "Ah, well, you said you like Chinese food, right?" he asked, glancing over at her. "I know a great place to get Chinese. If you'd like to go there, I know a shortcut... But we'd have to go on foot." Clydell blinked a few times. "So... Does that sound alright to you?"

Member Posts: 1783 | Antoinette looked at him and smiled brightly. "It sounds perfect." She said, a bit of excitement bubbling up inside her, though she couldn't tell why. She tried to hide it, and a bit of color rose into her cheeks. She looked at him. "As long as that's okay with you."

Clydell Gage "Alright, well, then, let's go," he said, standing up. He left his book on the table; he'd get it later. "Ah... Follow me, I guess. The shortcut I take isn't very... Well-known." He walked outside of the Zodiac House. He was rather tall, so he could take long strides in his steps. Clydell continued walking for about three minutes, until he came across a development. There was a white fence around the houses, for privacy. "Can you walk on here?" Clydell asked, before jumping up on the fence. He wobbled a bit at first, searching for balance, but he was soon able to stand on it without a problem. Clydell walked a little bit farther on the fence, to give Antoinette room to get on.
