Kathleen saw Nicolas walking into the room. She was as pale as, well, a ghost. She was still human, though. When she saw Nicolas, she saw a helping hand. She saw someone who cared, not knowing the sarcastic remarks that he had made earlier. Either way, she took an immediate liking to him, one that she had never had before, to anyone. "Thank you, Nicolas," she said, "I just saw some terrible things. Is it okay if I only talk to you? I don't want to be around the others anymore. I'm scared..."

Nicholas:

He almost had to refrain from gagging. He could tell, this girl was scared, but did she honestly have to appear to be so dependent? He simply let out a sigh. Alright. For now, he would be the 'teddy bear' figure, or in simpler words, the comforter. But only because that girl seemed to be scared out of her mind. "Ah... Sure. I guess... Kathleen, was it?" He scratched the back of his head, looking at the girl with one amber eye and one blue. "I guess it's alright if we don't go back to the others. Just as long as somebody isn't alone. That wouldn't be good. For, who knows what could happen?" Nicholas spoke softly and quietly, partially because Kathleen's scared-to-death personality was annoying him and he wanted her to stop, and partially because he didn't want any of the so-called 'ghosts' to appear. It wasn't like he believed in them. But, if they did exist, he didn't want to be the first victim of their follies.

Sitting down in a dusty, old chair, Nicholas tipped his head to the side slightly in genuine curiosity. "So. What made you scream?"

Kathleen:
"It was just... this figure, I saw it in the bed with me. I could see its shadow, but nothing else. Creepy, right? But anyway, I like your eyes, they're very different. I like being different. Most people don't like me for it, but I still like it." Kathleen was obviously still nervous, repeating herself sometimes, and stuttering, too. However, this didn't keep her from taking quite a liking to Nicholas. "What a nice, handsome, guy," she thought, "I wonder if he likes me."

Nicholas:

That's all she was scared of? he thought, in slight disgust. A shadow? She's almost as bad as that girl I scared earlier! Well, he didn't want Kathleen to think he was a completely inconsiderate person. So he decided to keep the cuddly, nice personality up. "Well, I'm sure it was just a trick of the light," he said, in the quiet voice that he would never use if he weren't pretending to be somebody he wasn't. "Who knows what follies your eyes plays on you these days?" I should get an acting award, he thought to himself. When he heard the compliments on his eyes, he couldn't help but break character and roll the two amber and blue circles of unusualness. "Quite frankly, I despise my eyes more than anything in the world," he said, genuinely speaking his thoughts but still using that quiet voice, so he wouldn't startle Kathleen. "I have heterochromia iridium. That means that I lack a pigment, called melanin. Therefore, my eyes are colored differently. They're nothing to be proud of. They're just something to let people know that I have a condition. It's like wearing a sign around your neck that says in bold letters 'I have a condition! Come and make fun of how weird my eyes are! It's a disorder of my body!'." He frowned, looking at the dusty wooden floor of the old manor, that was supposedly haunted.

Lilly looked around the mansion. She opened a few doors except for the one where nicholas and kathleen where in. She looked in the room then shut them and walked back to the group of tourist's.

Thunder- Make sure to have at least a paragraph!

Kathleen said, "Well, maybe we should go back to the group of toursits." and then, smiled, and said, "And I really like your eyes. They're handsome." This first move on Kathleen's part scared her a little bit, but she felt good about it. She felt like she had met someone who she could trust, to confide in. However, she still worried that Nicholas would just want to be friends, and not something more. "Anyway," she repeated, "back down to the group of tourists? I'm hungry, there has to be something to eat here."

Estelle:

I walked around the old creepy place, looking at the pictures and the old dusty furniture. I was far from the group, and was humming "Fall For You" by Secondhand Serenade very quietly. I didn't want anyone to hear me....That's when I heard the girl scream. "I hope she is okay..." I whispered to myself. And just as I took a step in the direction of the scream, I see a boy race towards the room. So, I just turn and continue exploring. As crazy as it sounds, I want to see a ghost.

Nicholas:

"Hah. Handsome. What a laugh." However, he said the reply with poison biting through his words. Then, the thought hit him. Was Kathleen trying to... Flirt with him? The thought of the two going out made him want to throw up. Not wanting to hurt the girl's feelings, he said nothing about the sort.

Nicholas nodded with agreement. "We should go back. Ah... I have a granola bar with me. You can have it, if you want." He pulled out a single granola bar from his pocket and tossed it to Kathleen. He was glad to see that she was no longer stuttering and scared. Now she was acting like an actual human being, one that could think and move for herself. Standing up, he walked over to the dusty door and put his hand on the door knob. He twisted his wrist to open it, but the knob refused to move. What the heck? he thought to himself in agitation. Nicholas again tried to force the door open. He pressed his slim body against it, but it still wouldn't move. He let out a sigh. "It's locked," he said, stating the obvious without turning to face Kathleen. Great. He was going to be stuck in Mrs.-Scared-Of-A-Shadow for even longer. Nicholas then felt something cold creep over the back of his neck, making goosebumps form all over his body. Swallowing some of his saliva, Nicholas managed to stay calm. He convinced himself it was just some wind making its way through a window. But there were no windows in the room. Turning around very slowly, he saw a woman floating in the air, her skin and clothing tinted a bluish white. But it wasn't that that made him widen his eyes in utter fright. It was the fact that there was red, all over the top part of the woman's dress, and that she lacked a head. All there was was a bloody stump that was supposed to be a neck. A cackling noise filled Nicholas's ears, and the air became considerably colder. By instincts, he jumped in front of Kathleen, as if to protect her from the ghost. He would never admit it, but on the inside, Nicholas was actually a kind person. "Stay behind me," he said in a very quiet voice, watching as the ghost came closer, the cackling louder. "Whatever you do, do not move a muscle."

(( Sorry I can't make a post for my other character right now. I have to go. ))

Estelle:

I continue to explore the manor, drifting away from the group. I figure that a ghost may be afraid to show themself in front of many people. "You don't have to be afraid, ghosts, I'm not going to harm you," I whisper. And in my head, I add "Plus, you're already dead so I couldn't hurt you even if I wanted to...". Not thinking, I begin to sing "Sally's Song" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQj2iOEx-V8) from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas... "I sense there's something in the wind. That feels like tragedy's at hand..."

Kathleen listened, and did not move. However, she felt a little dizzy, and wanted to scream. After all, ghosts can't hurt people, can they? They're just apparations, right? Either way, Kathleen did not move as the ghost drifted over Nicholas and her. As soon as the ghost had gone over them, she felt dizzy again, and with a hot and a cold flash, she passed out.

Estelle:

I stopped walking and stared at a picture, it was old and covered in dust. As I studied it, I sang even more quietly "All though I'd like to stand by him, can't shake this feeling that I have." Suddenly, the air around me grew cold. I stopped looking at the picture and glanced around. That's when I saw it. A tall shadow like creature stood not three feet in back of me. I could see it out of the corner of my eye. "A ghost, a real ghost!" I thought excitedly. I slowly turned around to see it better, but it disappeared. I smiled, because now I was interested.

Matt: He started walking down the halls, wandering farther away from the group. He heard the song Estelle was singing echoing off the walls, giving the house a creepier effect.  Out of curiosity, he followed the voice. After a few minutes he found the girl who was singing, and the ghost a few inches away from her. His eyes widened slightly, he never thought this place was really haunted. It just thought that was something to lure people in! He kept staring at the ghost, wide eyed.

Estelle:

I watched the spot where the ghost had been and felt an icey chill that made me smile. I started singing again, same song, thinking that maybe the ghosts liked my voice. It'd be really cool if they did. "The worst is just around the bend. And does he notice my feelings for him? And will he see, how much he means to me?" I start dancing a little, not knowing that Matt was nearby. I thought I felt I was being watched because of the ghosts....

Matt:  His frightened expression was quickly wiped off his face and replaced with a humorous one. She didn't know he was standing behind her. He watched her dance and sing for about a minute, but he couldn't hold it in. "Boo!" He shouted loudly from behind her.  Isn't that what ghosts usually said? He shrugged carelessly, not really caring about ghosts at the moment.

I jumped, startled by the boy. "Jeez, person! You almost gave me heart failure!" I smile and laugh a little. Then, I blush suddenly self concious, and wondering about how long he was watching. "I'm Estelle," I say and take a small bow. "Whoever he is, he's kinda cute," I think and blush at my thoughts. I wasn't even thinking about ghosts or the paranormal at the moment.

Matt: Chuckled, watching the blush appear on her cheeks. "Nice to meet you Estelle, I'm Matt." He couldn't help but smile at her behavior. "Sorry for almost giving you heart failure." He said giving her an apologetic smile. "By the way, you have pretty awesome dance moves." He said, his eyes flickering with humor.

"Nice to meet you too," I smile. "And it's okay, I'm just easily startled." I move closer to him, just to see him better. My eyes flicker mischievously. "Thanks, I mean, I thought I'd throw my best moves out there incase anyone or anything was watching," I wink, and blush again because of my behavior. I never act like this around guys, especially cute guys. "So, I was wondering, would you like to explore this place with me?" I ask. Then, I bite my tounge. "He probably thinks I'm weird or creepy or something of that nature now!" I start to mentally freak. I'm not one who asks people (especially cute guys) to go off on one of my crazy adventures with me.
