Dakota grazed in the clover field, letting her ears pick up what her eyes couldn't see. Her tail swished back and forth contently. She lifted her head, continuing to chew the sweet grass, as she watched the foals happily play together. Day was busy galloping around, enjoying his freeness. His black mane and tail waved in the wind like a flag, as his hooves carried him like wings. Occasionally he'd toss up his head and kick out his back hooves. Scarlett shyly watched the other foals play. As much as she wanted to play with them, she was afraid of what they would say about her. So, she stood there idly, on her four striped slender legs. | |

Scarlett watched as an all black foal galloped up to her. Her ears went back a little and her head retreated downward in a submissive stance. Seeing that this foal was friendly, she slowly lifts her head and her ears slowly go forward. "Scarlett," she said quietly. "I'm Scarlett." | |
