Robber-He walked in taking things. )Tired.)

Kate; hears the robber and growls stalking over to him, her hands flexed into claws as she jumped on his back digging her nails into his face.

Robber-He managed to exscape with the things somehow..running off

Kate; gives a hearty chase, but stops after a while, not out of exhaustion but out of common sense.  The robber had longer legs and appeared to be lighter then she was, there was no way she could catch up with him.  Her ears pinned back to her head and her tail went between her legs as she tried to think of a way to explain the theft to Jack.

Jack- He drove in "Everything ok?"

Kate; sees Jack and her eyes widen as she shakes her head No...a robber came into the house and stole some of your property

 Jack-"Well can you call the police?"

kate; nods and runs into the house grabbing a phone and dialing 911

he got out,following.

Kate; starts talking to the police answering questions and giving the address, she slowly hung up the phone and turned to look at Jack They'll be here in a few minutes

Jack- He nodded,Great..

Kate; nods slowly unsure of what to say or do

Police-They came in.  Well we found the stuff itwas all mashe up,butwere going to replace it

Kate; She frowns lightly, not entirely sure if this was a good or bad thing. She turned her head to watch a bird rather then meet his eyes

Rose; smiles slightly Thanks She look at the ceiling, closing her eyes for a second before dropping her head and turning to hopefully meet his. The first floor is all connected to this room, the second and third were built like mazes, while the Attic and basement are just an open floor plan.  she reaches out to lightly touch his hand I want you to be happy, not nervous, frightened or angry.  Tell me what you want and I'll do my best to acheive it

Nicholas:

He jerked his hand away when he felt her touch it. He then returned it back to where it had originally bit. Nicholas couldn't help but to blurt out, "What I want? You have got to be craz-" He stopped himself there. He cleared his throat, and looked at the ground, scratching the back of his head kind of nervously. "I apologize. It's just that... Well, I'm not quite used to people like you yet. I'm used to things like "Grrr, do what I want you to do, or I'll throw you in chains and leave you there for a month". That's the kind of lifestyle I have. Or at least, had. Nobody has ever cared for what I want before." He decided to change the subject. "Why were the second and third floors built like mazes? Or was it just for a unique change of architecture?" 

(( Sorry I haven't been posting a lot recently. I'm currently in a place where there is no Internet, but I'll have regular Internet connection very soon. ^-^ Again, I apologize for the wait in posts and such. ))

Kate; nods her ears pinned back slightly I guess that means you didn't catch him?

Rose; she nods slowly trying to understand what he meant.  She knew others were bad, but she'd never known they were that bad that they permently damaged the neko's they touched.  A frown marred her features for a second.  Why couldn't the others see what they were missing with the abuse they doled out?  It made her angry to think of anyone doing that to Nicholas, especially Nicholas.  He wasn't afraid to talk about it while others had. She decides to bring up her questions at another time and answers his question. My grandmother loved mazes, so my grandfather decided to build her an extension where she could enjoy it everyday.  Of course he built it with others in mind too.  The guest bedrooms are near the start of the maze so no one gets lost until their curiousity gets them.  The master bedroom was moved to the middle of the maze.  The only thing that was sad was that grandmother only got to enjoy it for a week before she fell deathly ill.

The polcie-  They nodded, Well we have to go..

Jack-He just sat there head in his hands

Nicholas:

"I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother's death," he said quietly. "She must have been a smart person who knew how to get out of things. That's what you need to solve a maze, after all." He looked over at Rose. "Well, this is quite the... Unique house you have here." He let out a small smile, very very small, but it was still a smile. "Quite the effective thief discourager." Nicholas looked at Rose. "I don't mean to sound greedy or rude or anything of the sort, but do you mind showing me where I will be staying?"

Rose; shakes her head and laughs She was an amazing woman...and that is not rude at all.  Anyone would want to know the same thing. This way. she walks through the door to the left and walks up a flight of stairs. Reaching the beginning of the maze walls she smiles and trails her fingers across the wall as she takes the first right, right, then left.  You can remember that right?  Only in reverse when you want to leave?  i don't want you to get lost here.  She opens the door to his room.

Kate; walks over to Jack I'm sorry

Nicholas:

"Let me see if I can remember... Door to the left from the living room. Walk up stairs. Right, right, left. Is that right?" He then thought for a minute, then nodded to himself. "I think that's right." He looked inside of his room, and he was quite surprised. "Wait a second," he said quietly, looking at her. He raised an eyebrow. "I have an entire room. To myself. Are you serious?" His face looked more flabbergasted than happy. "I've never had an entire room before."
