What brings you out today Dylan?

Jake; sees Tess and his eyes instantly show interest.  A slight, too skinny girl.  Who looked like she could be easily moved around.  Not much of a challenge, but that was what he needed around his house at the moment. He exchanged a whispered conversation with the auctioneer then with a flash of gold the deal was done. He walked over to stand in front of Tess a cruel smile resting on his lips. Kate; smiles slightly. I can say I'm glad my parents died because of that reason.  I don't want to be a belle or even rich.  But of course that is scandelous to say.  she looks away from him Perhaps you could come visit me on my plantation sometime? Her voice lifts with the question, even though the words sounded emotionless.  Inside she was brimming with happiness another who wasn't into slavery like others she'd met.
