Nicholas: "So, what'cha up to?" he asked, still trying to read Riley. His brain was getting nothing that would annoy her. How agitating! He looked at the ground, trying to think of a 'character' that would possibly annoy her. Perhaps an overly-cheery character? Mm, that sounded like a good idea. He quickly put on his friendliest smile, which was rather convincing, and the cold-hearted look in his eyes disappeared, replaced by easy-going, friendly eyes. He stood with one leg slightly stuck out, which made him look like a person who had a goofy and funny personality. | |

Nicholas: "Sounds like fun~~~!" he exclaimed loudly and cheerfully, letting the last word draw out nicely. "Well, what I'm doing is~~... Well, the same thing as you! Isn't that funny?" He made a childish laugh, and almost went out of character for a second. God, I hate this character, he thought. | |

Nicholas: "Hmph. So I turned out to amuse you, not annoy you?" he scoffed. "That's boring." He let out a sigh. "Hm, at least I did get a different reaction than normal. Though the strangest reaction I've ever gotten was a girl asking for me to be her boyfriend... Which didn't happen, of course." He looked at Riley. "I can't figure out what annoys you, and I can't fool you, either. You annoy me. No... You do more than that..." He began to walk away. "You disgust me." He then quickly turned around and walked straight back. "Oh, by the way, do you know a place where I can play my violin without anybody finding me, or hearing me?" | |

Most idiots are fooled easily, though, so I don't need to use perfected, solid acting." He then mumbled, "I'm surprised you haven't laughed at me for playing the violin, either. Apparently, it's a 'girl instrument'." | |

Nicholas: "Huh. Well, that's not what the people said where I used to live," he said, following her down the flight of stairs. "Where I come from, the only good music is rap, apparently, and violins, cellos, violas, and such are for girls." He narrowed his eyes. "Sometimes, people who think instruments are for certain genders sicken me." He then shook his head. Why was he telling Riley all this? Because he had been keeping all of these feelings bottled up, and not telling anyone? He didn't quite know. But it made him feel content. Satisfied, in a way. | |

She laughed in false humor. "Now I'm here. And nothing should be specified to a gender." She opens a big, heavy door and walks into a huge room. It had a big window that flooded the room with a soft light. A thick layer of dust covered the few chairs and stands that were scattered around. "It needs a bit of, cleaning. I haven't been in here for a while. | |

Nicholas: "Mm, it does need some cleaning. But I can manage playing in here, it's just a little dusty." He put his violin case on the ground and began to take his violin out. He adjusted the shoulder rest on the string instrument carefully, then glanced over at Riley. "So, are you going to listen, or are you going to leave?" He kinda hoped that Riley would leave. But another part of him wanted her to stay. It had been a long time since he had had somebody listen to his music. He liked the peace, of course, but had always felt a lack of... Pride. Since he had nobody to play for. "Either way, I don't care what you do." He shrugged as he began to tighten the strings of his bow. | |
