Kate; takes a deep breath again. When are they marrying? her eyes finally move away she glances over his shoulder and smiles for the first time since she'd seen him. It lights up her eyes and adds character to her freatures. A sort of uninhibited joy. Nick; having finally slipped out of the enclosing household saddles his horse and rides up the hill. He sees the unmistakable halo of Kate's hair, the sun catching the gold and silver. He does not recognize the back of the person she was talking to but could tell it was a man by his height and clothes. A furrow caught his brow, he knew how much kate disliked men. He urges his horse faster wanting to check out the visitor. | |

His eyes were wild and green. Nya held onto the reins of the bridle, standing on his left side. They were walking through the forest to somewhere. A specific destination was not yet set. | |

Nick; raises a brow in disbelief but holds his tongue. He turns to Kate instead looking her over. He notices how tired she seems and returns her glare. You're supposed to be taking care of yourself! Kate; her gaze steady as she returns his, not a hint of blush. I need to work to stay alive, you might not remember, but we've had this conversation before. It's not my fault i'm broke and can't afford it while you can afford everything i can't. she raises an eyebrow at him. What is in you? you are almost never this confrontal on first seeing me. she looks back at Dimitri, disgusted with Nick while she had just been happy to see him. She tries to pick up their conversation again. Well...are they going to meet before their wedding at least? As in today? Or tomorrow? she pauses and then thinks, but she speaks her thought aloud in an almost breathless tone. Oh i'm so glad there is no one to make me marry. as she realizes what she said she blushes a little. Nick; glares at Kate. A feeling of protectiveness and anger boiling in his breast. He could tell that Kate trusted him, but he could also tell that she had no clue who he was. Why must she always be so? | |

Kate; thinks on it trying to figure out something a wrinkle appearing between her brows as she tries to figure it out. finally she mumbles her question. Either parent can break it off, but they won't without reasonable reason, so they'd have to be totally incompatible before they would even think of it. she looks off into the distance. The only thing they can do is meet, and see if they are compatable together, before we can do anything of the sort she sighs I'm sorry i can't be of more help. Nick; frowns as he figures out what they are talking about. They can't break it off it's for the better of the country. Kate; looks at nick a look of confusion in her eyes | |

Kate; looks at him her eyes wide in dismay, which slowly grew into indignancy. Of course i wouldn't know. I don't even know my real family! i have no siblings, just some dead parents who decided debt was a great thing to pass to their adopted daughter! Thanks for understanding my life! she ends it sarcastically. I tried! Did i not? I just don't know how! Alright! it's not like i'm ever going to be married either so why did i even attempt to help?! she snarls exasperated then turns and starts to stomp away, her pheasant dress swaying with every step. Nick; looks at Dimitri a satisfied smile on his face, it wasn't often Kate lost control of her emotions. How wonderful for it not to be aimed at him for once. | |
