Talene: She let out a little scream when he pressed down on her wound. She squeezed her eyes shut, biting her lip. She resisted squirming around.

Cain

"Shh," I cooed as I brought her onto my lap. "Sorry, but it's the only way to stop the bleeding." I said softly and washed the bloodstained shirt in the river. My arm was numb now, I couldn't feel a thing but I couldn't use it either. I think the guy dislocated it.

Talene: She wrapped her arms around his waist. She felt like she was being a baby as she cried, but it hurt like crazy. She hugged his waist tightly. She had a strong urge to pass out so she wouldn't feel anything.

Cain

I pressed down on her cut until it stopped bleeding. When it did, I quickly tore a part of the other piece of the shirt and wrapped it around her let. After I secured it, I wrapped my uninjured arm around her. "It's okay now. The pain would subside. You'll be fine." I reassured.

Talene: She cried into his uninjured shoulder. Traumatized by the whole thing. Traumatized by how she thought she was going to die. How she thought Cain was going to die. How much Cain dying would have tortured her inside. She sobbed harder and harder. She finally calmed down. "A-are you okay?" She asked him, her voice shakey.

Cain

I held her tight as she cried and gently stroke her hair. I looked down in her teary eyes as I heard her ask the question. "N-not at the moment." I said. "The damn guy dislocated my shoulder with the knife." I splat but then added quickly, "But it's nothing I can die from."

Talene: She hugged him gently, being careful not to touch his injured shoulder. She whined a little as she closed her eyes. She hid her face in his neck.

Cain

I stretched my arm around her. I hugged her tight then reached out to get another piece of cloth. The blood was coming out a little now but my head was throbbing. "Now that your okay, let me take care of myself, okay?" I asked her.

Talene: She nodded a little, scooting off of his lap. She curled up into a tiny ball. She watched him treating himself, crying softly.

Cain

I treated myself, frowning as I kept an eye on the crying Talene. After I secured it, I slowly got up and went over to her. I offered her my hand. "Lets get back to camp, there we can get some sleep." I softly said.

Talene: She pulled herself together and slowly got up using Cain's hand. She started limping, she was really slow-going. She stumbled a couple of times.

Cain

Sighing, I stopped. We can't move this slow, or else we'll get caught. I quickly moved in front of her. I bent down and wrapped my good arm around her waist. Then, with a bit of difficulty, I had her over my shoulder and was moving again. I used my arm to support her so she wouldn't fall.

Talene: She held onto his waist, tightly. She didn't want to injure his shoulder, so she stayed perfectly still. She closed her eyes.

Cain

As quick as I can, I hurried back to camp. When I stopped, you could see the lining of sunlight in the sky. I step into the medical tent and carefully set Talene on one of the empty beds. 

Talene: She layed on the bed, as her eyes opened. She looked up at Cain. Her eyes were questioning, asking silently What do we do now? She tried to sit up, but she felt too light-headed.

Cain

I smiled and gently pushed her down on the bed. "It's almost dawn and we go to sleep." I told her. Then I laid down on the other side of the bed and wrapped my arm around her torso. "After our earlier ordeal, we both need the rest."

Talene: She cuddled close to him. She rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes. Soon, she fell asleep.

Cain

I smiled slightly as I watched her drift to sleep. She looked so peaceful. Now long after, I felt my eyelids heavy. Then slowly I dozed into a dreamless sleep.

Talene: She slowly woke up a couple hours later. Her eyelids fluttered open and she yawned. She sat up slowly, wincing a little because of her leg. She saw Cain beside her and smiled.

Cain

I slowly stirred. As my eyelids fluttered open, I smiled when I saw Talene. "Good morning." I said and sat up. I winced slightly as a jolt of pain ran through my arm. "Feeling better?" I asked her.
