"Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid."- Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

"There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing. I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."- Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

"Curious. Your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack. Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabbling pirates can defeat the Flying Dutchman. And so despair leads to betrayal. And you and I are no strangers to betrayal, are we, Jack? [Jack, who has been looking through various containers, stops and glances at a P mark on his arm] [turning to face Jack] It's not here, Jack. What? What isn't? The Heart of Davy Jones is safely aboard the Dutchman, and so unavailable for use as leverage to satisfy your debt to the good Captain. By my reckoning, that debt has been settled. By your death... yet here you are. Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by."- Lord Cutler Beckett and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

"Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like you to note it-hearing now-that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, and be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" want to go once they pop their clogs. Savvy? We have a word for that, Jack. You can convert. I was thinking more of an as-needed basis."- Jack Sparrow and Philip Swift, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Rick:

He sat down in his seat, the aisle seat, with Mia in the middle seat, and Skyla in the window seat. The werewolf looked at Mia and Skyla. The part-Esper-part-Time traveler was asleep, her head leaning against the window. He couldn't tell if Mia was asleep or not. His head resting in his left palm, which was propped up by the arm that was sitting on the armrest. His eyes were open, signaling that he was awake. Rick couldn't sleep. Planes made him feel so... Uncomfortable. Vulnerable, possibly. He listened silently to the soft rumbling of the engine of the plane, thinking of the last time he had gone on vacation. Ah, yes, he had been with his family. Rick had been about ten years old. His mother, he could remember her warm, motherly smile. And his father, well, he could remember being glad that his father looked happy to be away from work. Rick's eyes became burred and unfocused as he let his mind slip into the grasp of flashbacks. Those happy flashbacks were tarnished as a horrid, terrifying screaming filled his ears. It was the scream of his mother. The last noise she would ever utter from her lips. Rick began to tremble very lightly, hearing the yells and cries for help from the rest of his family. He crossed his arms, to stop the trembling, and leaned back in his seat, breathing heavily as he was brought back to earth. He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself.

Mia: *she was, in fact, asleep. She had been on a few planes before, when traveling for school things when she was training to be a guardian. They didn't both her, but other things about them did. Well, they used to. She hadnt flown for awhile, and the last few times she had flown they didn't bother her. When she was younger, and would leave the wards of the school, she would see ghost. They would attack her, tell her that she had to come back with them. She had learnt to keep them away, which is how she had survived so long being out of wards, but it took a toll on her. It was easily to just sleep when she was in the air, which is precisely why she was asleep right now. She sighs contently, and moves over in her sleep, accidently resting her head on Rick. She sighs contently again, but soon starts to shake and whimper. While asleep, she had let her guard down, and the ghosts were attacking once agian.* no. *she mumbles, still asleep.* I won't... I won't go with you! I'm alive! *she yelps.* please, leave me alone. I'm not... I won't join you. *she begins to thrash around slightly.*

Rick:

He almost flinched a little bit, feeling Mia's head on his arm. He opened his eyes, and slowly uncrossed his arms, so he wouldn't wake Mia up. Noticing her thrashing and yelping, he reached out one arm and touched her shoulder. "M-mia," he whispered quietly, obviously worried. He couldn't see ghosts, nor could he sense them. He watched her speak and struggle. "Mia!" His voice was kind of quiet, so he wouldn't awaken anybody else on the plane. Perhaps Mia was having a nightmare? He wrapped his arm around her, as if to comfort her.

Rick:

He nodded. "And now, judging from that scream, I have a feeling we're going to be receiving a lot of complaints from people." He looked around at the passengers around them who had waken up from their slumber, and were glaring at Mia crankily. Skyla had waken up, but quickly went back to sleep after mumbling a few words about how her feet were glued to the ground, and only the magical gnome could save her. "Mia, are you alright?" he asked quietly. "You had me worried." Rick noticed he still had his arm wrapped around Mia, and hesitate before pulling away. He... Didn't know exactly why he had hesitated. Perhaps he... Liked Mia? He tried to shake the thought from his head. He knew Mia could read minds, and so did his long-time-no-see girlfriend, Nicki.

Rick:

"Ghosts?" he asked, curious. "I didn't know you meddled with ghosts." He let out a small smile. "Don't worry, I wasn't sleeping. I can't." He was silent for a few minutes. Then he looked at Mia. "This is optional to answer... But do you remember the last vacation you spent with your parents?" He held his breath, before saying, "I can't stop thinking about the last vacation I spent with my family. That's why I can't sleep."
