Skylar follows Light, as he walks to the petshop.

Light: Walks into the pet shop, holding the door open for Skylar. He looks around. It had a strong aroma of feed. 

She walks into the open door, and thanks Light.

Light: Closes the door, just as a cat leaps out from its pen and onto Light's shoulder, purring loudly. ... Not this again... He tries to get the cat off of him, but the cat won't let go. 

Skylar giggles and removes the cat from his shoulder, she holds him and pets him. "Aww." She said smiling, while looking down at the cat then back up at Light.

Light: That always happens... Cats just have an automatic liking for me for some reason. 

She looks up at him and smiles. "Your half cat." She pets the cat as she still looks at Light.

Light: I guess that could be a reason... He quickly defends himself as another cat leaps at him, but he just simply catches the small kitten in his arms and strokes its neck, causing it to purr loudly. He smiles at Skylar. Cats are really cute, aren't they? 

Light: He smiles wistfully while looking at the cat he's holding. ... Sometimes I wish I were as free as a cat... Cats can really do whatever they want. 

Light: So, um... Now what? 

Light: After quite a while of trying to get the cat to stop clinging to him, he puts the cat back where it jumped from. He walks around the store. 

Skylar makes her way to the part of the store where the puppies were. She looked at them, in the cages and smiled. Theres was one particular one, that was faced away from her, it was a basset hound. It looked like he was the runt. He was probably picked on. She bent down to pick him up, he looked back at her, and let her pick him up. He whimpered and clung to her. She held him close to her, "Awww... Light! Light, come here and look at this!"  She looked around for Light.  

Light: Walks over to her, and smiles, but keeps a small distance away from the basset hound. It's... Uh... Cute. He has a problem with dogs, and prefers to not be near any. 

Her smile slowly fades, "Whats wrong? You don't like dogs?" She still held the puppy in her arms.

Light: Um, no, I do... Well, no, I don't, it's just that... He remembers the time when he was a victim of a dog attack at the age of four, and shudders with fright. ... No, I don't like dogs. 

Light: Sighs with relief, but it's very faint so Skylar can't hear it.
