Will: He walked in the opposite direction of the gunshots, looking around. The blasting sounds of grenades and gunshots left his ears as he walked, and he tried to walk as silently as possible. He looked at a tree, and nodded, knowing he was going in the right direction. The Navy men marked trees to know the path they were going in. A familiar 'X' was etched into the brown bark, telling Will he was walking in the correct way. He continued to walk, glancing at Elizabeth every few seconds to assure himself that she was okay. He was so glad, so glad that the flow of blood had stopped. If Elizabeth had bled to death, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. | |
