She was mostly concerned about the baby. Any number of things could happen on the road even with an entire army as protection. She prayed that the gods would watch out for them. | |

Robb was still in the room but instead of sitting at the table he was putting torn up pieces of paper into the fire. He looked over when he heard Zoe enter. Grey Wind laid under the table. Catelyn went to make another of the wreaths for Arya. She felt rather silly but keeping her hands busy helped distract her and well... Jon had survived when she had made one for him. She could still remember his ragged little breaths and her prayers to whatever god was listening to keep him alive. That if they did she would love him like a proper mother. There were days she wondered if the tragedies that plagued her family were caused by her inability to keep her promise to love a motherless child. She had tried but whenever she looked into his eyes she couldn't help but picture the woman who had made Ned lose his honor. | |
