Raven tried to move away from him, still on the ground.

In the next couple days Robb visited the boys a few times. For whatever reason it hurt him to know that people were considering him as not even a villain but something more evil. He knew some level of that belief was inevitable but he didn't like it. While he couldn't convince the world he was good, he could act decently to those two boys and the other people captured when they took the castle.

That wasn't a popular view for the other northerners. Many wanted to send a message to Monroe and kill their enemies, including the women and children. That side of the camp was led by Karstark which surprised no one. He wanted vengeance for his murdered son no matter what Robb said. And no matter that no one there had been responsible for the act. So one night while most people were asleep he took a group of men to where Martin and William were being kept. They killed the guards and slaughtered the boys. William hadn't woken up but Martin had. He tried to fight but he had been no match for any one of the men there. Fighting the group was laughable but he had to try.

Ramsay got her up.

Zoe had spent a lit of time with them as well. In a way, her mothering instinct was already kicking on and so she had pretty much temporarily adopted the boys.

Raven watched him. She was already cowering.

Robb wasn't woken by the knock that came in the middle of the night. It was Grey's growl that did it seconds before. He sat up sleepily and looked at the wolf and then at the door, wondering what would prompt someone to disturb him at this hour. He heard no sounds of fighting, only rain and thunder, which he took as good news as he walked over to the door and opened it.

"Your grace." The guard said. "I'm sorry for waking you but... Lord Karstark."

"What of him?" Robb asked. The man was speaking much to slowly and he wanted to return to bed.

"He killed the guards you left with those boys." He said. "The boys too." He added as an afterthought.

Ramsay took her to the wall where there were something shackles. He locked them around her wrists. She wasn't tied against the wall like in some medieval dungeon but she wasn't getting far from it.

"Bring them to the hall." Robb said. He shut the door and went to get dressed.

Ramsay walked out. He was confident neither would escape.

Robb looked over at her as he did up his shirt. "Did you hear?"

Grey Wind stood and jumped off the bed. He nearly fell instead of landing gracefully like he used to as he was far from healed. He had been supposed to stay at Riverrun but within a day Catelyn had packed the wolf into a wagon and sent it to catch up with the army. He had been too distraught being away from Robb.

Ramsay got his eye checked by the doctor.

It was difficult to say whether Abel or Daenerys was in worse shape over Raven and Tara being taken. Daenerys probably was. While Abel could make plans and do something to get them back, Daenerys was stuck sitting in a home that wasn't hers waiting for news. And planning was exactly what Abel was doing. The struggle was finding people other than Dany, who begged to help but was denied, to go with him. With the war going on with the other group they couldn't spare anyone to go on a rescue mission even for the mother of their president. That wasn't going to stop Abel. He knew he didn't have time to wait but he had been trying for a little bit to find someone willing to back him up. He didn't and was leaving at first light the next day.

"Its not your fault." Tara told her.

Sansa was waiting there for them while Edmure arrived a minute or two later. Robb and Zoe had been the only ones to get dressed. Edmure was in his pajamas while Sansa had taken the time to run a brush through her hair and put on a robe. She did not want to be there but as the heir to winterfell, at least until Robb's child was born, she had to be. No one woke Mary. Considering the circumstances she didn't need to be involved. Robb looked over as the bodies were brought in and laid on the ground before him.

Ramsay held a small bundle and placed it on a table. He unrolled it revealing an assortment of knives.

"Who else?" Abel asked.

Raven started pulling again, not that she could do much. Her leg was bent at an awkward angle and wrapped slightly in her dress. Thankfully she couldn't feel or else she'd be in a good deal of pain already.

Robb stared at the boys for a long while. William looked like he could be sleeping. If it wasn't for the mess that had once been his throat. Martin was covered in slashes. Some of which blood still oozed from. His arms bore the cuts from him attempting to fend off the attack while his chest and belly was filled with stab wounds. They were both so pale. It only added to the redness of the blood. "Smalljon." He said at last. "Tell your father to bring them in." He watched as the man wordlessly turned and walked out. His steps echoed in the great stone hall, the only sound other than the soft noises Sansa was making to keep herself from crying at the sight of the boys.

Ramsay seemed indecisive about which to pick before finally settling on one and taking it over to Tara.

Abel stuffed his hand into a pocket in his jeans to keep from doing something he would regret later. "Shut up, Judith. For once in your life just shut up."
