There was still too much fighting for anyone to safely travel to winterfell but Robb couldn't keep sitting in Riverrun. He needed to do something. So after some urging from Mary he decided to turn his attention to her old castle. She may have gotten it back with the magicians' trick but Monroe wasn't giving it up that easily. He still had people holding it but they couldn't do it forever without supplies. Robb laid siege to the castle. It wasn't as exciting as battle but it was better than hiding with his mother's family. Abel got to where they were going. Karsi made dinner and divvied it up to the girls before taking what little remained for herself. | |

They stayed outside tbe castle for longer than Robb expected. He didn't think that they would be as well stocked as they were. Or maybe they were simply refusing to give up such an important castle. Either way the Stark army held off the attacks from Monroe's forces when they attempted to help. Eventually they surrendered the castle. Robb went over to Zoe before they went inside. Abel got out. As time went on Robb was getting increasingly protective of Zoe. He was scared of something happening to the baby, although he wasn't sure what. He knew that she could handle most anything. It didn't stop his worry though. There were some days that he wished she would have stayed with Catelyn at Riverrun even if he would have lost his mind from her being so far away. A few people went with Robb and Zoe. Following them was Mary. She tried to keep her feelings bottled but she couldn't hide the look of sadness she felt when she saw the state of the castle. It wasn't in ruins but it was no longer the gorgeous home of her memories. The paintings of her family were destroyed or defaced and their banners were gone. Her father's favorite hall, which was filled with his hunting trophies, had been wrecked. The animals were covered with arrows from drunken target practices. Slurs mocking the her and the Stark family covered the walls. Monroe's people may have given up but they had left what they could to remind the world that this had been theirs. Abel tried to decide what to do. He didn't think he could take out all of them, and didn't really want to. This trip wasn't about killing. It was about gathering information. So he whispered for Raven to stay there and snuck closer. "Where are you from?" Johnna asked. | |

Robb looked at Glover and Dacey Mormont when they walked over. "The guy in charge is gone. We have his two sons though. Along with some lower level people." Glover asked "What do you want done with the boys?" Dacey asked. She lowered her voice. "They're Baker's nephews. If Karstark finds them... I don't know what he'd do." Abel listened in on the conversation. It was mostly them bitching about some guy coming in and demanding they do his dirty work. Johnna nodded. | |
