Mary was lost to her grief. She stayed in her tent and didn't see anyone other than Sansa who wouldn't take no for an answer. The two spent long hours together, Sansa gently trying to coax Mary to do every day activities. She understood Mary's pain and still felt it herself over her father's death. The only difference was she could keep up appearances. Sansa often refused to sleep for days because of nightmares until ultimately passing out. She had no appetite but forced herself to join in meals when people would see. In the saddest irony, the food arrived the day after Tori was murdered almost like Melisandre's lord did appreciate the sacrifice. If the troops weren't demoralized enough from starving, hearing that a child had been burnt alive finished it. They were all happy to move on without Octavia once everyone's strength was back. They went to Riverrun, a smaller castle mostly surrounded by rivers giving it the name. Monroe's forces had it under siege. They couldn't get close enough to attack- the water was full of traps to keep that from happening- so the only thing to be done was keep people from leaving and supplies from coming in. Robb attacked at night, surprising them. He sent Grey Wind to spook their horses so no one could get away on horseback and so the panicked animals would destroy some of the camp. It worked perfectly and they won but not without casualties on their side. The Starks, Mary, and some of Robb's lords walked into Riverrun after the battle to cheers from the castle's inhabitants. Edmure, Catelyn's younger brother, hurried over to them. He wasn't in charge of the castle yet but as Hoster Tully, his father, was on his death bed he was the best they had. "You are a welcome sight, nephew." Edmure said happily, ignoring the slight glare that earned him from "the Blackfish" Brynden Tully, Catelyn's uncle. "He's your king now." Brynden said. "You should refer to him as such." Edmure shrugged off the comment. "Robb knows I mean no offense." Abel walked into his house and looked around for his family. "Guys?" "Of course!" Cherry said.
