The windows were dark but that was for the comfort of the Moroi and not a sign of danger. The door was shut and not kicked down. Everything looked... well peaceful. That's what was wrong. Dimitri had said on the ride there that the family was Royal. That meant there should be at least two guardians. One of them should have come out to see who had parked in the driveway. She stayed at the car as Dimitri went to the door. When he knocked it swung open on its own. | |
