Lissa shook her head and then looked at Victor again. She placed her freed hand on Victor's arm and focused. The change was startling. Victor's skin smoothed, no longer wrinkled and pocked. The gray, thinning hair filled out, turning dark and lustrous once more. The green eyes, while still jadelike and strikingly similar to Lissa's, sparkled again, turning alert and lively. He'd become the Victor she remembered from her childhood. Exhausted, Lissa passed out. | |
