Lol oh That next evening Jeremy was putting dinner out while Clay quickly made a salad to go along with it. Once again the majority of the meal had come from Pearl. Clay was happy. It was her specialty: shepherds pie. Clay walked over to the table with the salad and gave Jeremy a funny look. He was leaning over the pan, spatula only partially through the first cut. | |

Clay reached for the dish but Jermey snatched it away from him. "No. Somethings not right." "Is it the meat?" Clay asked. "Seems fine to me but it doesn't matter." Jeremy waved him away and sampled a forkful. He made a face as he discreetly spat it into a napkin. This made clay try it as well but he still didn't notice anything wrong with it. He chalked it up to Jeremy being overly paranoid, and rightfully so. | |
