Kate tolerated the flirting but never really did anything to make it seem like she enjoyed it. She did like the attention, especially from someone as handsome as Sirius (not that she'd admit that she found him attractive), but she didn't want to act like she did. She didn't want to lead him on since she had no idea how she felt about him. He had invaded her territory and well... he wasn't a werewolf. But she did feel something for him.
