Ever since Jeremy had first told her that she would eventually become the next alpha she had gotten more and more alert and protective of the pack and her surrounds but now it was final. She was responsible for everyone's safety now. So she did her job and scouted for danger even if that was more of the beta's job | |

Elena looked at her pack. Her pack. The thought didn't seem right but she wagged her tail at it anyway. She couldn't be happier with her family. She might not get along with everyone all the time but she couldn't think of anything better. Most packs had internal struggles at least once in a while but that had never been an issue for them. Even the trouble they had with mutts was minimal compared to packs who had something similar. Kate bounded around, full of energy as always but the excitement was making it worse. She went to Emily and tugged playfully on her ear. She acted more like a pup than the nearly grown wolf she was. Logan stayed close to her but made no move to join in her "game." He had always been pretty serious. Heck he was the one who often time had to calm down other pack members, namely clay and Elena. Noah hung back, away from the pack. He was a full member and no one had ever been anything but insanely nice to him but he still wasn't comfortable with being with wveryone. He was always worried about them getting sick of him and giving him the boot. Why wouldn't they? Even his own mother hadn't wanted him. Eventually they would get rid of him. Clay was torn. His instincts were to stay by Jeremy to protect him. But Elena was now his alpha. She should be his priority. But Jeremy was the one who raised him and cared for him. He just kind of awkwardly stood between them, unwilling to let either out of his sight Nick tried to stay somewhat calm but not only was his tail wagging but his whole body was wiggling around. He might be an adult but he sure didn't act like it. He went to bug Reese much like Kate was doing to Emily. He launched himself onto the younger wolf and the two tumbled to the ground, snapping and snarling but neither trying to hurt the other. Morgan, like Noah, didn't stand that close to the pack. He wasn't a complete member. He wasn't a mutt anymore. He had joined the pack a while ago now. But he still wasn't a full member yet so he didn't feel like he should be joining in the festivities. Even if he was a full member he still would feel awkward about it. Jeremy watched everyone. Was he sad to step down? Not really. He might miss his position once in a while but his time was over. He believed whole heartedly that Elena was ready to take over and he was excited to see what she would do. He was also ready to just be a pack member again and not have to make decisions. Most of the pack was there to see the new alpha take over but not everyone. Karl was unable to come and was at home still. Hope had just had their first child, Nita, so they weren't ready to travel. They would be there as soon as they could to congratulate Elena. Joey and Jorge also weren't there. Jorge had work obligations that kept him away while joey just didn't want to be there. After Dennis's death, he had kind of backed away from the pack to live a more human life. | |

Good God woman Sam, much like Clay, was keeping an eye out for danger. But instead of focusing on the alpha and Jeremy, he was trying to keep an eye on the entire pack. Emily wagged her tail at the younger wolf as she approached. She made some playful growls, shaking her head to free her ear. She was normally understanding of the pups and how full of energy they were. Ruby watched everybody, wagging her tail whenever they got close. She went over at sat near Clay. She had basically forced him to spend time with her and be her friend at the beginning. Now? Not much has changed. | |

I got bored last night after you left lol Elena went over to Sam. She was still on high alert, she probably always would be now, but that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy herself. She touched noses with him in greeting then gave him a gentle woof, trying to tell him to relax. Kate growled back at her. She darted away a few feet then playbowed, her tail wagging crazily. Logan watched her with an amused look on his face. His "little" sister (only by a few minites) was an odd thing. Clay didn't mind her forcing her friendship on him. That's really what he needed. He wagged his tail as she approached and rubbed against her. As a wolf he was a lot more comfortable with contact. | |

I could have included Malcolm and santos but I thought that was over kill Elena nipped at him and wagged her tail, trying to get his full attention. It wasn't his job to keep everyone safe. Well... it kind of was if he was going to be one of her betas, as he sort of had been for Jeremy, but she wanted to do something. Kate ran away again. She was sure to stay relatively close to the safety of the pack but wasn't too concerned with it. She could take care of herself. Clay let out a snort when she rubbed against him as if he was chuckling. He was used to Elena snapping at him if he did that. | |
