A few minutes later clay impatiently sighed. The mutt had been puking that whole time. The stink of vomit almost drowned out the smell of blood. Almost. He barely reacted as the mutt spoke. "You sick son of a bitch!" The mutt said, his voice barely a whisper. He was still doubled over. "How could you-" He puked once more Clay watched him. "He came into my territory. From now on any mutt who comes on my territory is going to end up like this. If you want to leave here alive then there's something you have to do for me." His attention was on the mutt. He didn't notice that the door had been left slightly open. | |

The mutt shot up. "I'm not doing anything for-" Clay grabbed his hand and forced it over the heart of the first mutt. It took a moment but the mutt's eyes went round. He jerked his hand away. "You- He's alive? He's still alive? You kept him-" He took a swing at clay but slipped on a pool of blood and skidded to the floor. Clay left him there. Instead of going after the mutt he grabbed an axe from the pile of tools and finished the job on the first mutt. He turned to the second one. "There." He stated. "He's dead. I just wanted to show you that I could keep him alive. Think about that. I could do this to you and let you live." He grabbed the back of the mutt's shirt when he lunged at clay's legs. He yanked the mutt to his feet then shoved him against the wall. | |

Clay nodded. "Yes, I'll come after you but not just if you don't pass along the message. If anyone shows up here again, then I'll know you haven't done your job and I'll come after you." "What?" The mutt yelped. "I can't tell every last goddamn mutt in the world. Even if I could, what's to say they'll listen to me?" "If you tell the story right, they'll listen, and they'll do your job for you by passing it on." Clay replied. "But what if they don't believe me? Shit, what person in their right mind could believe that someone would-" his gaze swept the room and he swallowed. "They won't believe me." "Yes they will." Clay dropped him, strode straight across the room, and grab a handful of Polaroid shots. "If they don't, show them these." "You took pictures? Jesus Christ! You're- you're-" the mutt said, panicking. "Someone you don't ever want to meet again." Clay said. He shoved the pictures in the mutt's pocket and pushed him out the door | |
