Elena went over to Emily. "Hey. It's okay. We're going to get out of here. I promise." She was mentally breaking down over Jeremy's death, but she was trying to hold it together for everyone else. Especially for Emily who seemed to be really struggling.

While Santos was looking at Sam, Clay kicked him. Santos flew through the air and slammed into the other side of the cage. Clay smirked. Stupid mutts. Couldn't even manage to tie his legs down. Thankfully.

Emily nodded a little. "What's going to happen to us? Is he going to kill us?" She looked down a little. "Would it be better if I just submitted? I can't stand up to him."

Sam watched that. He wasn't sure if he should be impressed or disappointed in Clay for kicking Santos.

Elena pursed her lips. Should she tell Emily what he wanted? It might make her feel better to know they would live, but it might not. "We're breeding stock." She told her quietly. She stayed silent for a moment, thinking everything over, before answering the second question. "To a point. We might get a better chance at getting out if he thinks we're docile."

Clay didn't do it to impress Sam. He wanted to hurt Santos, and that was all he could do at the moment. He looked proud as he watched as it took Santos a while to get up. He had clearly been hurt. But when he got up, he was clearly pissed off.

Emily nodded a little bit. "Well I don't know about you but I'm on birth control so I should be okay for a little bit." She nodded to the second answer. That worked okay for her. She knew she didn't stand a chance in a fight.

Sam watched them nervously.

No. Elena wasn't on birth control. She didn't really see the point since she wasn't with anyone. Now she wished she would have gotten it. She pushed it out of her mind. Nothing she could do about it now. She looked over at Ruby. "Can you do that?"

Santos glared daggers at Clay. Oh. Now he was really going to pay. He marched out of the cage and went to get more rope. He then went back over to Clay and wrapped some of the rope around his throat and tied it to the bars of the cage. He quickly tied his legs to the cage as well before untying on of his arms. That wasn't a good thing, though, because Santos yanked on his arm and broke it.

Clay winced but didn't make a noise. He wouldn't give Santos the satisfaction.

Santos watched him. His anger was already growing. "Anything familiar about this, Clayton?"

"Yeah." Clay said. He knew exactly what he was talking about. And he didn't care. He didn't regret what had happened. "Only he attacked Jeremy and I first. And he wasn't tied up and unable to fight back. I gave him a chance."

Ruby huffed a little. To him, she could try. But now she had to be nice to all the mutts wandering around her home too? That's where the problem was. But... She could give it a shot. "I'll try."

Sam watched them, not that he really wanted to. He figured Santos was distracted and tried to work on easing his hands out of the rope. If he was free maybe he could help.

Elena nodded. This was going to be a struggle for her as well. While being nice to them was a good plan in theory, she didn't know if she would be able to pull it off for long. "Good." She looked at Emily. "We're going to be fine."

Santos untied clays other arm after tying the injured one back behind him. When he saw the look on clay's face, he smirked. "I could stop, but you didn't stop for Stephan, did you?"

"No." Clay said. "I didn't. Because he was a psycho who was going to kill us if I didn't take him out." He smiled. "And I'm glad I did. I don't regret one thing that happened." He grunted again when Santos broke his other arm.

Emily nodded a little. She seemed to calm down now that they had a plan. "But how are we supposed to defend ourselves if he tries anything if we're being nice?"

Sam looked away from them.

"If you feel like you're in danger, fight back." Elena replied like it was a stupid statement. She knew that Emily wasn't a fighter but she needed to be.

Santos retied that arm and then paced back and forth in front of clay. What to do now? Clearly that wasn't good enough. He had to find some of the tools clay used. What better justice would there be?

Emily nodded a little. She looked over at Ruby who was pacing back and forth in front of the door. She wanted to be out. She was so bored in here.

Sam looked back over when he started pacing.

Elena looked over at Ruby and sighed quietly. She felt the same way but knew that pacing wouldn't do any good. "You might as well sit down. We aren't getting out of here anytime soon."

Santos walked out of the cage and slammed the door shut behind him. He went around the basement and poked around awhile as he looked for something to use. He couldn't find anything, though, so he headed back upstairs.

Ruby continued pacing, softly growling. "It makes me feel better." She paused to look around the room. "Plus, there's nothing to do in here."

Sam watched him go. When he was gone, he looked back at Clay. "Are you okay?" He knew that his body's natural painkillers would probably be kicking in soon if they didn't all ready.

Elena shook her head and let the subject drop. She had only been trying to help. But if Ruby wanted to wear herself out by pacing, good for her. She almost scoffed when she said there was nothing to do. What did she want? Board games? A tv? Like any of that would make this better.

"I'm fine." Clay said. Not that he'd ever admit otherwise. He would have to be mortally wounded to say he was hurting and even then it wasn't a sure thing. His arms didn't hurt too badly anyway. He was more pissed because now escape would be even harder.

Ruby went over to the window, looking out. She knew Elena already went through this but didn't care. She looked for any way out before accepting being stuck. She sat grumpily down in front of the window.

Sam nodded. While he knew Clay enough to know he wouldn't admit it, it still made him feel better thar he said he was fine.

"We could try jumping out but I'm pretty sure the mutts would hear and track us down before we got too far." Elena told her, as if Ruby hadn't figured that out already. She just felt better talking about stuff- anything really- so she wouldn't be trapped within her own head.

Clay tested the ropes Santos had tied. His face lit up when he felt that they weren't as securely tied as when the other mutt had done them. He pulled and bit back a yelp. Okay. The knots weren't as good but his arms certainly weren't either. But he could fight through the pain if it meant getting out. He pulled again.

"I'd rather die than have children with him." Elena stated. She couldn't imagine herself in that life. Pumping out kid after kid for him. And that's what he wanted. He had told her as much years ago. Back when he first started trying to come after the pack. "I should have killed him back when he first started bothering us instead of only taking off his ear."

"I'm doing what I can to have a chance. If I'm dying today, I'm not sitting here and waiting for it." Clay said. He also wanted to die in a fight if he had to go. A werewolf's death. He defiantly didn't want to be tortured until his body ultimately gave up. That was what Santos had planned for him, too. He braced himself before pulling as hard as he could against the rope. There was a loud noise as his wrist dislocated but he did get his hands out. Even with the pretty horrible injuries, he started to untie the rope around his neck.

Ruby nodded. She couldn't say that she disagreed with her. A quick death would be better than having kids with a man she hated. It was decided. She would be docile until he tried to get onto her. Then she would fight again.

Sam watched him while keeping his ears on the staircase. He wished he could help untie him but that wasn't possible right now.

Elena looked around. She wasn't going to be forced to have sex. She was never going to allow that to happen again. She wasn't going to be the good little girl who let men do what they wanted to her and keep her mouth shut about it. She was a werewolf goddamn it! She could fight back now.

Clay was really struggling to get the knots untied. His hands weren't cooperating. Who would have thought? Eventually he got them out and began working on the ones on his legs. He had to work fast. Someone was walking around upstairs. They could be coming down and he was still trapped there. At least if he was free in the cage he would have a small chance.

Ruby looked at the girls in the room with her. "Do you think he's going to actually treat us decent if we're good? She didn't know him enough to be able to say yes or no for sure. Plus, she was starting to get hungry. She normally ate to make herself feel better.

Sam was trying to listen. If Clay needed a little extra time he could try to trip whoever came down. That wasn't really a problem.
