Connor watched. Elena watched Patrick. She knew most of fights were about bravo. If she had the right attitude he might just back off. That's what happened with a lot of clays fights. He won by showing up. She wasn't so lucky most of the time. Many mutts thought she was weak no matter how many fights she won. But she could still try to avoid the fight. Patrick circled her like a shark a few times before he quickly grabbed her hair and yanked back on it. Hard. When Elena only glared at him he let go and pushed her forward, knocking her to her knees. | |
