Elena was feeling about the same as Sam. This was wrong and was making her jumpy. She was just waiting for the inevitable anger or disappointment or... Anything. Why wasn't he saying anything?? Nick grinned mischievously. He looked like a little kid, excited to get into as much trouble as he could. "You know I have to. Someone has to knock him off his 'I'm so much better than you' pedestal." He wasn't ever mean to clay. That wasn't his style. He was just... Annoying to the serious clay.

Dean drove. He parked in the driveway of their house. "What is wrong with you two? Don't you know to stay put at the house? You could be killed." He sighed, getting out before they could respond. He went in. Emily laughed. "You really are still 5 years old, aren't you?" She couldn't help but look over at Jeremy, trying to see if he was still planning on warning Ruby before Malcolm could get there.

Elena opened her mouth to try to defend them, but Dean was out of the car before she could spit out a word. She got out and followed Dean to the door. "So you can run off whenever, wherever you want but you expect us to stay hidden away all the time?" She regretted her words as soon as she said them. She should have just taken whatever he say and looked meekly down Nick's grin only got bigger, if that was even possible. "You know it! Why grow up when you don't have to? That's no fun." He had no desire to be an adult. Let his dad and grandpa handle that stuff. He wanted to go to parties and be a teenager. Jeremy was talking quietly with Antonio, explaining what was going on. They made a plan on how to handle the situation.

Dean glared, turning to her. "You are a young child! You don't know how to survive out there. Hell you managed to get lost just by going on what should have been a simple walk!" He glared for longer this time. "If you're so incredibly confident, then fine, run off. But dont expect me to come rescue you again." Emily laughed. He made some very good points. She couldn't help but dread becoming an adult herself. She didnt want to have to deal with paying the bills. She wanted to have fun with him. She kept an ear on Jeremy and Antonio's conversation.

Elena stumbled back when he turned on her. She nearly lost her footing but caught herself. She tried to avoid glaring back and looked away, not daring to meet his gaze. She kept her mouth shut as if worried what would come out if she opened it. Â "I guess it's easier to live like that when everyone else takes care of you." Nick said, chattering away as usual. He had gotten better about his constant talking, but tended to still keep talking much more than people wanted him to. "I get to do whatever I want because no one needs me to do anything. They don't expect it from me either, which is nice. Can't disappoint when no one thinks you can do it anyway." Most people would consider that to be bad, but not Nick. He loved having no responsibilities. Jeremy and Antonio figured out their plan of action. Jeremy went over to Emily and Nick, and after waiting for the conversation to be over, said "Antonio and I are going to leave for a little while. You guys will be okay here won't you?"

Dean turned back around after a long glare and went back inside the house, slamming the door. Sam got out of the truck and went over to Elena once he was sure Dean wouldn't come back out to yell at them more. Emily nodded a little. "Where are you going?" She asked, although she thought she already knew. She attempted to keep herself from letting out a growl, not wanting to sound like a jerk if they weren't going to Ruby's house like she thought they were.

Elena only looked back up when she heard Sam coming over. "Well..." She started to say, not really sure what there was she could say. "That wasn't too bad. Not great, but could have been worse." Â "Out." Was all Jeremy told her. He figured she knew very well where they were going. Nick, however, didn't, and Jeremy wasn't going to tell anymore people than he had to that Ruby existed. Not yet, at least.

Sam nodded, looking rather concerned. "I know. Was he too rough with you?" Emily nodded. She had other plans. Nick would tell people. "Are you going to go see that mutt? Why bother with her? She's not supposed to be here."

"No he was fine." Elena replied. She wasn't a weak little girl who would go crying to her brother when someone was mean to her. She was stronger than that. "What? A mutt?" Nick asked, not fully hearing what Emily had said. "Where's a mutt?" He went silent as her words dawned on him. "Wait. Wait. Her? As in a female mutt??"

Sam nodd3d. He knew she wasn't weak. Far from it actually, but that didn't mean that he didn't worry about her. He knew how rough Dean could be sometimes and although he always went easier on Elena, it still wasn't fun. "Good." Emily nodded, looking back over at him. Hopefully this plan would work. "Yeah. A female mutt." She couldn't hide her growl this time. "A dangerous female mutt. Clay hangs around her now but she really isn't good news. Unfortunately he's really mean when I try to tell him how I feel about the girl."

"He's going to have to try a lot harder than that to hurt my feelings." Elena told him. She opened the door and went inside. Jeremy's eyebrow twitched slightly and the corners of his lips were tugged down into a tiny, displeased frown. "She isn't dangerous." He stated. "Not as far as we know. She's done nothing wrong."

Sam nodded a little, still looking concerned. He was probably the most sensitive out of the three siblings, and although he didnt mind, it made it hard for him to remember that she wasn't hurt that easily. "I guess you're right." He followed her in, closingbtbe door behind them. Emily looked over at him, giving him a disapproving look. "I already told you that she always comes into class smelling like blood. Didnt you listen to me?" She crossed her arms again.

Just because Elena said she was fine now didn't mean that her feelings never got hurt. She was much more sensitive than Dean and John. She just knew how to hide it most of the time. Even though she was a girl she didn't allow herself to act like a girl. "She didn't smell like blood when she was in the truck." Jeremy stated. He hadn't seen anything wrong with Ruby but he hardly met her. He also didn't really trust Emily's judgement on Ruby.

"What now?" Elena asked Sam quietly, worried that even the slight noise of her voice could make Dean even angrier than he already was. She could apologize but she didn't think now was the time. She wasn't sorry, either. It had been a mistake. "Please stay around the house while we are gone. And stay out of Malcolms way. He will probably be in a killing mood now that he knows about ruby." Jeremy said. He hoped the kids would listen. Not that they were really children anymore. He still felt like they were, though. It seemed like it was only yesterday that he had gotten them.

Sam watched her. "Dad should be home any time now, right? Packing up will be something we can do." He joked. In all actuality he had pretty much stopped unpacking his bag. He didnt see the point with how often they moved. Emily watched him, nodding. "Okay." She turned her attention back to Nick. "Wanna go inside? We can figure out something to do then." She smiled at him. She normally was pretty decent to the pack members.
