"Yeah, let's start heading back. I don't think we're going to find anything to do here." Elena said. She didn't want to head back to where they were staying, since there was nothing really to do there, but she was getting kind of bored out here too. "Why do you have to complain about everything?" Clay asked, watching her intently. "You've had a great life with the pack but you're not happy with it."

Sam nodded in acknowledgement. He turned around and started walking back towards their little house. "Maybe we can find something to do along the way. Hope is not lost yet." He joked. Emily snapped around, glaring at him. She started growling again. "Do you realize how much time i spent alone growing up because of you? Do you realize how much time i spent staring at the ceiling wishing I could be anywhere else? You took so much of Jeremy's time that I didnt get any. And when we finally got into school where maybe I could be friends with you and make. Jeremy proud, you had to screw up and leave me all alone again. And now that you're in school youre set to graduate next year and so now who do you think the attention is going to be on? So shut up and do what you do best. Leave me alone." She huffed and looked out the window again.

Elena laughed at his comment. "Hope is never lost. We can find something to do... sooner or later." She looked around as she walked along side him. Clay scoffed at her rant. While he felt bad for taking up so much of Jeremy's time, it hadn't been his fault. "I'm soo sorry for taking up Jeremy's time so he couldn't pamper you as much as you think you needed. It's not like I came from a fucked up situation and he had to... I don't know... Teach me how to be a person or anything. I was a feral child! I needed his attention."

Sam laughed with her. "I don't know. It seems very dark right now. I think I might die of boredom long before anything remotely interesting happens." He looked around, dramatically coughing. "See? I'm already close." Emily growled. "Then maybe he should have given me to somebody who could actually spend time with me. Just shut up, Clay. Nobody even likes you." She stared out the window again.

Elena rolled her eyes at him and smiled. "Oh yeah. Because boredom can sooooo dangerous." She sarcastically replied. She shook her head at him. Jeremy looked really hurt. Well... As much as Jeremy every looked like any emotion. He had always been afraid that he wasn't spending as much time with her as he should. But he had tried his best for them. He had sent her to school even though he hadn't wanted to because he thought she would have liked it. He had cut out everything other than necessities for himself for a while to get the kids anything they wanted. But no matter what he did, he had always feared it wasn't enough. And now he had finally got the conformation that it hadn't been. From one if his kids. He took a breath and tried to make his face impassive. "I'm sorry you feel that way."

Sam laughed. "Yes, Elena. It really can be that dangerous. It's a really problem in today's world. Don't try to downplay it." He smiled. "Knowing out luck something is actually out there that goes after bored people." Emily watched everything outside again, staying quiet. She thought for a few minutes before sighing. "I just don't understand why he's always been so much important to you." She had tried to be a good daughter for a long time. But she had started giving up on being good.

"I'm sorry." Elena jokingly replied. She struggled to avoid rolling her eyes again. "I just don't like to admit how big of a threat it really is." "He wasn't... More important than you." Jeremy said. He was really trying to avoid sounding sad or upset. He spent his life hiding his emotions so it wasn't too hard from him. "He just needed more attention than you. I really, really tried to do everything I could for you."

Sam nods, jokingly looking up at the sky while putting a hand over his heart. "I pray every night that the danger of... of... boredom finally stops. So many innocent victims." Emily shrugs, looking down. "Just forget it." There really wasn't a way he could make up for it now. "Just go give attention to the other wolf. I'm sure she's worth it." What she wouldn't give to be able to walk out right now.

Elena put her hand over her heart too and looked down, as if in mourning. She then laughed loudly at their actions. "I don't know how you come up with this stuff." Jeremy kept driving. He didn't know what to say. What could he say? So he stayed silent until they got to Stonehaven. He pulled into the garage and parked. Before the truck was even stopped, clay jumped out of it and ran into the woods. He needed to be alone. He thought about changing, but was too angry to focus enough to turn into a wolf.

Sam laughed. "What do you mean? I don't come up with anything, and you know that." He smiled at her. This was a little fun. He loved playing around with her. Emily got out. She whimpered softly, retreating to her room too. She slammed and locked the door, sitting on her bed. She hadnt meant to upset Jeremy.

"Yeah. None of that was bs. I TOTALLY believe everything you have ever said." Elena jokingly replied. She knew he wouldn't ever lie to her, but kidding around meant not the truth. Jeremy went to do something to get his mind off of the awful car ride. He'd talk with both Emily and Clay later. Not that he could say anything he hadn't already said. He loved Emily and couldn't understand why she would say things like that to him. But getting hurt by family was nothing new. Malcolm, as if drawn by the anger and bad feelings, emerged from his bedroom. He knocked on Emily's door. He could walk in. The lock, which had been replaced many times over the years thanks to clay not caring about privacy, wouldn't stop him if he wanted in. But he wasn't as big of an ass hole toward her anymore. Over the years he had basically began to ignore her and Jeremy. He only paid attention to them when there were things of interest for him

Elena shook her head at him, trying to look annoyed, but she couldn't hold back the smile. "Conversations never get dull with you. That's for sure." "That's not a very nice way to start a conversation, girl." Malcolm replied. He crossed his arms and gave an annoyed look toward the closed door.

Sam smiled. "Good. I am alive to entertain you, you know. That's the only reason I was out on this earth. It's quite a large burden, actually." He smirked. "You are not a easy one to keep entertained." Emily sighed. As much as she didn't want to see him, she knew that he probably wouldn't leave until she talked to him. Heck, he might let himself in anyway. So she got up, cracking the door. "I don't want to talk."

"I'm glad that I can give you a purpose for living." Elena replied with a big smile. "Actually, I disagree with the last part. I think I'm pretty easy to entertain." Malcolm leaned against the doorframe. He watched her with a straight face, but there was a mixture of amusement and curiosity in his eyes. "Well I do."

Sam smiled at her as he walked. He took a couple seconds to check their surroundings before speaking again. "As the person who was born to entertain you, no. You're not easy to entertain. I mean look at all the work I'm doing right now. It's nearly impossible." Emily sighed. She opened the door. "Fine. Get it over with. What do you want?" She really didn't want to do this but knew it would be over in a couple minutes. If anything Jeremy would notice and stop it.

"Fine... I'll take your word for it. As my court jester you would know better than me, I suppose." Elena said, smirking slightly at him. "I'll have to buy you a little outfit to wear." Malcolm walked in. He sat on her bed, looking like he owned the place. "I couldn't help but notice everyone storming away from each other. I can't help but wonder what is going on. Care to enlighten me?"

Sam didn't look amused at that. "I will do anything but wear a little outfit. I don't think I'm a little Chihuahua or yorkie." He looked around still as they walked along. He smiled a little again. "But you can be my puppy." Emily growled at him. "No. I was sitting there. Get up." She crossed her arms, giving him a pouty look. And when he spoke, she growled even louder at him, even going as far as baring her teeth slightly. "Screw you. It's none of your business."

Elena had only been joking. But when she noticed that he didn't like the idea, she didn't push it. She was actually about to apologize until he called her a puppy. She rolled her eyes slightly. "Woof." Malcolm scooted toward the foot of the bed but didn't get it. He watched her and when she growled he only looked annoyed. "I don't have anything better to do. Tell me. Maybe I can help."

Sam grinned a little, glad she dropped the idea. He didn't say anything else on that subject and instead looked around. He didnt like the idea of being somebody's pet. It seemed humiliating and degrading. Not to mention that his dad was already basically training them to be bloodhounds. Emily sat down near the headboard of the bed. She glared. "Just drop it, okay? I'm not going to tell you and you won't be able to make me so leave me alone." She stared him down, still growling.
