Elena nodded. "Yeah. Having a home would be nice. But it's better than what a lot of people have. And it's not like we aren't traveling for a reason. What we do helps a lot of people. Us being unhappy once in a while isn't enough of a reason to stop saving people." "She's not a threat." Clay stated, still growling at her. "I wouldn't bring her around your or Jeremy if she was. I wouldn't hurt my family or allow them to be harmed. I'm not you."

Sam shrugs, letting out a small sigh. "Yeah, but wouldn't it be great to just be... normal?" He kicked a pebble off of the sidewalk and into the road. Emily growled, but did look a little hurt by his last comment. She watched him, trying to come up with something clever to say. Ruby gently touched Clays arm to get his attention. "This isn't worth it. I'm sorry. I'll walk home. See you tomorrow."

Elena sighed quietly as well. Had she thought about being normal before? Sure. But that didn't mean she necessarily wanted it. "Yeah, maybe, but we're not. And I don't think any of us could be. Not with what we know." Clay had his teeth bared as he stared Emily down. He noticed the look of hurt on her face and didn't feel bad. She should though. Watching her pack brother getting beaten up was wrong. When Ruby touched his arm, he turned on her. It took him only a moment to check himself and try to calm himself. "No, Ruby. It's okay.. Ignore her."

Sam looked around. "I will be. Someday. I'm going to have a job and a wife and kids. I'll have a life that'll be a hundred times better than all this. I'll have a home. And I will never move out of it." Ruby nodded a little. She then looked back at Emily who was still growling. Emily did not want this female anywhere near her pack and home. She was supposed to be special. Everybody always said it was amazing she was alive and she didn't want that to go away. That left her with two choices. Scare Ruby away or eliminate the threat.

"Do you really think you could be happy with a life like that? Being so... Domestic?" Elena asked, sounding more interested than judging him. There wasn't anything wrong with what he was talking about. The thought of a normal life had crossed her mind from time to time but she brushed it off as a fantasy. Something that sounded good but in reality wouldn't work out for some reason or another. But the idea of having a family and being normal was a draw to her. Clay looked at Emily. He didn't understand why she was acting like she was. He didn't think of Ruby as a threat, and he was usually pretty quick to jump to conclusions of dangers.

Sam nods. "I think it would be great." He had thought about this a lot. In fact, he had already started saving up for the day he could move out. Whenever he could he would do small jobs for people. Normally yard work. Emily glared. "Wait until Jeremy sees what you're trying to do."she fully believed that Jeremy would for some reason not like Ruby either. He would be able to send her away and banish her from the area. Of course a little part of her knew he wouldnt, but she could push that all away.

Elena looked away, thinking about what he was saying. She felt like she was committing treason on their family just for thinking about this. Was she happy with the winchesters? Yes. Completely and utterly yes. But she also thought that she could be happy in a normal family too. "What I'm trying to do is give a person a ride home. Jeremy will be happy I'm finally trying to be nice to... People." Clay said. He knew his statement was a lot closer to being correct than hers. Jeremy wouldn't be anything but polite to Ruby. Even if be somehow didn't like her, he didn't have the power to exile her from the area. "Looks like we're going to find out right now." He stated as he saw Jeremy's truck pulling up. He had a nice one now. Not the beat up old thing he used to drive. After becoming the pack doctor, Dominic had bought him a nice one because he'd need reliable transportation in case anyone got hurt or sick, much to Malcolm's displeasure. He hated that his son was being treated well.

Sam watched her with a concerned looked on his face. "Is everything okay? You're acting strange now." He didnt want her to be upset with them. She looked around a little bit. Ruby looked over at the truck. She still looked very nervous with all of this. She didn't know this man. As far as she knew he could be some serial killer that was ready to put a knife through her heart. Emily looked over as well. She seemed to calm down quite a bit, although she still looked less than happy. She didn't really want Jeremy knowing how she acted at school. She waited for him to notice the intruder.

Elena looked over at him. She nodded her head. "Everything's fine. I'm just... thinking. About what you said." She explained. "How it does sound nice to have a family and a house and stuff when cee're older. I just don't know if it would work." Jeremy pulled up next to them and stopped the truck. That's when he noticed Ruby. He got out of the truck and walked over to them. He discretely sniffed the air and caught her scent which made him curious. "Hello there." It was surprising to see him with the kids. He didn't look much older than them. At most he looked in about his mid twenties thanks to the slow aging process if werewolves.

Sam nods a little, thinking. "I agree. But if you really want it to work, then you can make it work. It might be hard but if you fight hard enough it can be done. Plys, it's a long time away, so try not to worry about it too much." Ruby tipped her head a little, watching him. She was contemplating how he could be so young. But clay did say that he was adopted. After a second She realized her manors and smiled kindly. "Hello. I'm Ruby Lucas."

Elena nodded. "Yeah. Anything in this world worth doing takes work. But I don't think I could ever be comfortable sitting around taking care of a kid when I know that somewhere out there a monster was killing people. But like you said, it's a long time away." Jeremy smiled politely at her. He wasn't mean, he was never mean, but he seemed... Hesitant. Anyone who had just met him wouldn't notice though. A person had to know Jeremy for a long time to be able to pick up on his subtle moods. A tug of the corners of his mouth was a smile. A twitch of the eyebrow an angry outburst. "Jeremy Danvers." He introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you, Ruby. Are you a friend of Emily's?"

Sam shrugs. "I could do that. I guess I'll be your kids baby sitter." He laughed, but was entirely truthful. He wouldn't mind being 'Fun Uncle Sam'. Oh boy.... uncle sam? Yeah, he was going to need to come up with a different name. Ruby seemed to relax quite a bit when he stayed kind. She smiled a little bit, already liking this new man. "It's nice to meet you too, sir." When he asked if her and Emily were friends, she glanced nervously at her. Emily wanted to scoff or laugh or something, but held her tongue. Ruby shook her head. "No, not Emily. I'm friends with Clay." Friend was a pretty strong word. She glanced over at him, asking if it was okay to call him that.

Elena laughed at his statement. It was like she was thinking the same thing as he was. "I'll just drop them off at uncle Sam's. As long as you're not a creepy uncle." She smiled and looked around. "I like how we're already talking about kids I might not have." Jeremy watched as clay gave a small nod of agreement to Ruby's comment. Friend was fine. Jeremy couldn't hide his surprise. Clay? With a friend? That was surprising. Clay was fine with the pack, although he treated the other pack youths as minions instead of friends quite often, but anything else? He didn't believe it. He shook off his surprise and smiled slightly. "That's nice to hear."

Sam smiled. He looked around. "It's fun to imagine though. Isn't it?" He hoped that she was going to have kids. He really liked the idea of being an uncle but knew Dean wasn't going to have any kids in this lifetime. Ruby smiled at Clay before looking back at Jeremy. "I was wondering if maybe you'd be willing to give me a ride back home?" She asked, getting pretty soft by the end.

"Yeah it is pretty fun to think of what might be." Elena said. She didn't know if she'd ever have kids. It's not that she didn't want them. She did. But she could imagine finding someone who would put up with her and her family's weirdness. She didn't want to lie to her possible husband but how could she explain that her family were all hunters. Jeremy nodded. "Yeah. I can drop you off. Hop in." He went to the truck and got in the drivers seat. He waited for everyone to get in. Clay climbed into the back seat. He figured Emily would want the front since she wouldn't want to be with Ruby.

Sam smiled. "It really is, isn't it?" If only the things he thought up could actually happen outside of his mind. If only he was psychic. That would make life so much easier. He would always be able to know exactly what would happen. Ruby got in next to Clay. Words could not describe how thankful she was to be sitting next to Clay and not Emily. She thought about it and told Jeremy the best way to get to her house. Emily got in the passenger seat. She still didn't look totally happy about all of this.

"So how many kids are you going to have in your fantasy future? Or how many am I going to have for you to babysit?" Elena asked, smiling at him. She watched him curiously, waiting for his answer. Jeremy nodded and started to drive to where she had told him. He could sense the tension in the truck and tried to ignore it. He would have to have a talk with clay and Emily to figure out what was going on. He glanced to his right at Emily then in the review mirror. He shook his head slightly at clay, who was glaring at Emily.

Sam thought for a couple seconds as he looked around. "I don't know. I've never really thought about that. I guess just however many happens." Ruby was looking down. She hadnt meant to make everybody this uncomfortable. Really she hadnt meant to make them even a little uncomfortable. As they got closer, she did look up to make sure they were going the right way. "Right here is fine, Thank you." She told him before any house was in sight.

"You've planned everything else but not that?" Elena asked with a smile. She then looked around once again, checking for danger or something of interest. Jeremy looked around for a house when she said that the place was okay. He didn't see one so he once again glanced in the review mirror, this time at her. "We've gone this far. I might as well drop you off at your house."

Sam laughed. "Hey, something's you just have to wait and see what will happen. You can't plan every little thing to happen in life. You of all people should know that. " He laughed again, looking around. Ruby shrugged. She seemed to be getting antsy, looking out the window. "It's really not far now. It won't be a problem to walk. You've really done enough." Emily looked over. "I'm sure she'll be fibe." She said, trying to keep her voice calm.
