Right?
I'm reading about akitas now. We were told Buck's mom had a lot of akita in her, but I always questioned if he any in him since he's normally so sweet but some of this perfectly describes him.
Buck tends to stare at me when I give him any sort of command, and if I try to make him do anything he lays or sits down, which is why I can't take him for walks by myself. If he sees a neighbor he wants to go visit, he will lay down and pout until they come over to see him. He also used to hold onto my hand when my dad and I would walk them. People thought it was cute, I found it overly annoying to be led around and drooled on. He would carry around large rocks when he was a puppy which was kind of cute until he dropped it on your foot. Once we got him to stop doing that, he started to carry this one bone around. He never chewed on it (it was sadly destroyed by Darcy out of spite though). He is a big baby too. Whenever my dad would get mad and start yelling, Buck would go hide. After my dad moved out he got really depressed for a while too, the poor baby. He used to hardly bark unless something "serious" was happening, although he has been barking a lot more lately thanks to Darcy, which is a very akita trait. | |
