Jeremy watched the two and stood up, his mouth opened and tongue killing out in a wolf-grin. As Antonio and Malcolm growled and snarled at one another, Jeremy slipped behind Antonio, stopping just out of his field of vision. No one really paid attention to him as they were preoccupied with the brewing fight. Jeremy crouched and wiggled his hindquarters then leapt forward. He darted right under Antonio's nose and grabbed a leg of the deer. Ripping it free, he backpedaled and ran away. With a roar, Malcolm flew over the deer at his son, but Antonio knocked Jeremy out of the way. He fell on his friend, shaking and snarling. To an outsider, Antonio's trashing would look real enough but a wolf would notice that none if his snaps did more than graze Jeremy's skin. A play fight for a good natured trick. As Antonio and Jeremy rolled together tussling, Malcolm stood back his hackles still raised. He waited for them to stop so he could let his son know what he thought of the trick. But they kept at it, tumbling away from the clearing; the deer forgotten. Malcolm snorted, grabbed the leg Jeremy had ripped off, and dragged it away to eat. Once Malcolm had busied himself with the leg, Jeremy and Antonio raced back to the kill before the others could decide they'd forfeited their share. They ate together, side by side, bickering over the choice bits with mock snaps and snarls. | |

Site Owner Posts: 236269 | Once they were done, the Wally and Raymond ate. Then Ross and cliff got what was left over. By the time it was Pete's turn there wasn't nothing left. Luckily for him, this wasn't life and death. He could go back to the house and get food from the fridge. But if this was a real pack he would go hungry. It was, however, a sign that many of his pack mates didn't care about him. He wasn't their concern. | |
