It was because of Carl and his group being here. He didn't trust them and he didn't like having to ask for help. Especially from them. He knew it was only a matter of time before one of them pulled a gun and tried to kill him. Which was why he was making Hailey talk to Carl. He was hoping for a little bit of good feelings between him and Carl to prolong his time with the extra muscle. | |
