It was finally lunch, the only break in the day for Jake. He could relax and talk with Beth. Best of all, just find a spot away from the other people. He hated being with them. He hated the looks they gave him and their general attitude towards him. Yeah, he could try to be more sociable but he was happy on his own. Mitch was the complete opposite. He sat at a table with a large group of friends, laughing and joking with them all. He scanned the area, hoping to see Beth coming over to join them. | |
